El San Geronimo Hotel

Overall, not horrible.. hotel is self service. There is not any staff on site to assist.. so if you need anything in advance be sure to ask for it.. I asked for a handicap room as my partner is in a wheelchair. When we arrived the room we were assigned was not wheelchair accessible and he could not get into the bathroom. We sent an email and the next morning they rooms. I did however put this in my request prior to booking. But wasn’t really a big deal as they were able to change the room quickly. The hotel cleanliness is not so good. Floors and bed sheets dirty and horrible smell in the rooms and hall ways. No safe, no mini fridge. Hotel was accessible with an elevator. You self service getting in and out of the building and room via a code that is provided to you 1 hour before checkin via your email. Overall this wasn’t a bad place for a quick and affordable stay in San Juan. If you have a car, parking is just a short walk right outside the building to the right at an old abandoned hotel ($12) a day. Staying in this hotel is similar to a hostel but you get your own room. Booking said breakfast was included but I never saw anywhere in the hotel where breakfast was provided.. cute coffee shop next door, walkable to the beach and Hilton resort where you can enjoy their bar and little shopping plaza. Piola pizza around the corner is sooooo good (ate there three times, and the two waitresses were sooo nice). The beach is a short walk down the road. If your not picky, I say book!

Tried to cancel with advance and there was no answer. Paid the deposit and when the date of the reservation came they sent me a link with the whole total again. Worst experience

0/10 DO NOT STAY HERE IT IS NOT WHAT THEY SHOW IN THE PICTURES ! When i first arrived there was no receptionist at all any issue had to be through email horrible! First room was dirty, toilet did not flush, old and outdated, no tv channels, burned carpet, shower handle was loose almost falling off! I complained and was told there was no other room, than was told there is one and I thought it would be better. The second room had mold, the curtains were broken, the carpet was stained, a big hole behind the tv and it was very old !

By far one of the worst hotels I stayed at. Place is unsafe anyone off the street can access, no front desk staff, no security, carpets and walls are dirty. The restaurant is only open from 5-10 Tuesday through Saturday

Great location. Property needs a front desk person. Property has deferred maintenance issues. Email to “front desk” unanswered.

The TV and wifi is constantly going off line The window shades did not work I did like the area, very walkable The room was plain but clean

If you’re looking for a cheap stay El San Geronimo Hotel is your place. This hotel is in a convenient location with restaurants, convenient stores, popular beaches and smoke shops. Self checkin was a plus but upon my arrival the essentials were missing from the room such as wash cloths. The out sourced cleaning staff were friendly and helpful.

The first night, we did not have the key to entering,nor was anyone in the lobby for help , we have to go to another hotel
