Stayed here one night, prior to our cruise. Great location in the old city. But a tired hotel with stained carpets, etc. The worst aspect was there was no control for the air conditioning ('central air' but no thermostat in the rooms). We had an interior room with no window and a constant flow of cold air, making the room feel more like an icebox. They provided us with extra blankets (which helped) and we wore toques to sleep!

This is a nice little hotel. The rooms are inexpensive compared to many in the area (it is a tourist destination) and the location is fantastic for walking around Old San Juan. The hotel was a little hard to find as the entrance is nondescript, but we eventually sorted that out. If you have a car you need to park elsewhere - we used La Puntilla parking lot less than a 10 minute walk away for $3 a day - as there is no chance of finding street parking. The hotel is a great place if you are looking for a base to explore the area, but is not a 'destination' in and of itself. There are no sweeping views of the coast, and no in house dining - if that's what you're looking for then this is not for you. The best part of this hotel is the staff. Cristobal at the desk is possibly the nicest and most helpful man you'll ever meet, and is a wealth of information on what's good in the area. If I return to PR I'll stay here again.

Location is great - close to shops and restaurants. Hotel is minimal - you get a small room and small bathroom. No extra or frills. The front desk is staffed 7X24 which made a big difference coming in very late. No Wifi or breakfast provided. Staff was very willing to hold our luggage after checkout.
Room was clean, but carpet could have been better vacuumed. One towel per person and single hand towel - no washcloth and no Kleenex.
Location was a bit of a challenge to find but was quiet and had a working elevator.

The customer service was great and entry into the hotel made me feel safe. This was a spur of the moment hotel choice and it wasn’t terrible. The hotel was very outdated and the shower wasn’t so great. We didn’t have an iron and there was no microwave but a fridge. Overall the staff was pleasant and helpful! It was a descent choice for one night.

I loved the location of the place and all staff were courteous. Safe area, very vibrant.
I was surprised the window was painted over making it so you felt like you were staying in a box.
But, the room was clean and the AC worked. Would use this hotel again.

It was a simple boutique hotel. Nothing fancy, clean. Walkable to all of Old San Juan and cruise port. I would not rent a car and try to stay at S.J., just Uber or taxi. Our room was cold, we like cold sleeping but this crossed the line a bit. Staff was friendly.

We were early for check in but they let us check in. Not a fancy place but clean and convenient. Meets all of our needs

Very bad experience to expensive for what you get. The room smells awful and bathroom tile floors were all scratched. The room very small no windows if you are claustrophobic avoided this place. Looks like the owner doesn't care about maintenance. The hotel should get some very good maintenance. I couldn't sleep with the smell in the room.
