The hotel is gorgeous, situated on a little creek with an awe inspiring backdrop of the Atacama cliffs. It was easy for my wife and I to explore the area by foot and bike (which the hotel loans out). We loved Mars Valley and Devil’s Throat (each about half a day from leaving to returning to hotel/4-5 hours) In the evenings, the tranquility and view of the stars was breathtaking, including our stargazing session with an astronomy expert (kicking myself for forgetting his name). Breakfast was top notch, with a wide variety of foods as well as made to order omelettes, fried eggs, crepes, etc. We got massages from Nilza (and someone else who was also phenomenal, forgetting the name) that were incredibly well done. The spa is so relaxing. Transfers to and from the hotel were seamless, and we got an incredibly thorough tour of Valley of the Moon from Joaquin who was top notch and incredibly knowledgeable (we were stunned he was mostly a driver and not a full time guide!). There are LOADS of excursions each day, so many to choose from an all so enticing. We wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights - it was so relaxing. One note: be sure to bring cash. The staff is great and well deserving of tips. But there’s no ATM on site (you have to go into town) so we found ourselves short of what we would have like to have tipped a couple times. Don’t miss this first rate property - the location, ambience, and staff are all well worth the trip!
