Hotel Riva Degli Etruschi

This place is 💩 Never here again, i waste my money in that disgusting “hotel” the room was dirty, staff rude, and service slow. Overpriced for what you get. Would not recommend. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

It is important to say at the beginning that the accommodation is in a huge and very beautiful area. Everything is very clean and sophisticated. BUT it is not a dog friendly accommodation. There are places you can go with a dog, but most of them are off limits. Nowhere in Italy have I ever seen so many no entry signs for dogs. It turns out that officially far from the sea, on the other side of the road, only dogs are allowed. We were lucky enough to get a villa on the edge in the off season so they allowed it there, however, here every night until 23-23:30 there was a party across the road, with so loud music that the glasses moved in the kitchen. In a quiet, relaxing area, this was shocking to me, 1-1 night would been fine, but every night... I can't imagine what it must be like in high season. There are a lot of mosquitoes and no mosquito nets, which is shocking to me.

Great place! We absolutely loved it here. A little oasis, lovely villas, private beach and fab pool area. All the restaurants are lovely too.

Best holiday in my life. Wonderful place, immersed in green areas. The restaurants are really good and you don't need to get out of the resort to get tasty, local food! My sons have already told me to come anytime soon, they loved it too!!

We enjoyed the beautiful garden of the resort and the beach. The residence was very spacious and well equipped (even a washing machine). The yoga lessons with Alissa were very well done and our kids enjoyed playing with Asia and Emanuelle. The team of the mini club. Asia was especially kind with our little ones. A little remark: the rented trolley (kids trolley for the bikes) has only a quite loose attachment to the bikes that did not feels safe enough for us.

Hotel is’nt a hotel but a cabin in a park. As a mistake we bought halfboard which were food you can survive eating, but certainly not enjoy. The service is even worse than the food and today it took me 45 minutes to have an espresso for breakfast and I needed to order it three times. It’s only few of the personel who understand English.

A beautiful location, right on the sea with half board we were treated to breakfast and dinner. Being vegan and veggie we expected the worst - four nights of the same salad and chips! We couldn’t have been more wrong! There was an abundance of fresh veg, fruit and salad each evening but also a freshly prepared vegan main dish for each of us. We used the pools, tennis and the private beach, along with one of the other bars and the well stocked shop. The room and bed were lovely with a great housekeeping team coming in each day. We found all the staff to be wonderful, hardworking and friendly.

We were at this resort for 7 years in a row and loved it. You can consider us loyal customers who were happy to book and pay in advance. We did that for the benefit of being able to be in a nice place by the sea which we know by heart and where kids can play and walk around. Lovely place where you sacrifice some things for the sake of being in a nice community with happy kids. They now raised prices by 70%!! from last year to this year and tried to sell this to us as a discount for loyal customer - which in itself is an insult to everybody who goes there frequently. We are talking about an increased daily rate of €695 (advertised to us as a discounted rate) and of €819 without the discount - and this is for a 3 week booking….! That’s €17.200. As a reason they tell customers that they’ll repair the houses and replace furniture (big deal, that’s called an investment in your assets so they don’t fall apart and it doesn’t justify such a ridiculous price raise), that they will plant some new trees, bring in a new lighting concept (meaning they’ll fix the lights), fix the spotty internet and do some other ridiculous things which never justify turning your back on loyal customers. You never turn your back on super loyal customers. Families go there since 10, 20, 30 years. Entire generations of our friends have gone to Riva degli Etruschi and provided easy to plan revenues over dozens of years. We and all our friends (which we met there over the years) are not going there because we feel ripped off. Riva degli Etruschi will end up with many recurring customers staying away and finding something else. Riva is great - but not €17.200 great. And you can bet that they will NOT get their desired booking quota in the summer and they’ll drop most inventory on *********** or some last minute site. By that they will a) have lost logal customers and b) make less money. Whoever owns that property - this is the most shortsighted strategy I’ve experienced since I travel. It will backfire and they’ll have to do a lot to earn people’s trust again.

My partner and I had a cabin with two bedrooms near the sea... it was just perfect. Fresh air, sound of the waves, pine trees all around. The staff at Riva degli Etruschi is helpful and friendly. The beach is safe for children, even small children. We have been there in July and in September. It is a wonderful place if you crave nature. We will go there again soon. Relaxed but very comfortable. Every cabin comes with kitchenett and fridge. Supermarket, coffee shop, restaurants are on-site. In the nearby town of San Vincenzo there is a pedestrian shopping street with many shops and restaurants. Parking is available and free.
