We only spent a night here, but really enjoyed it. Our cabin was spacious and comfortable. The free kayaks and paddle boards were a nice touch. Everyone was friendly and welcoming.

This place is great if your looking for something quaint and away from the hustle. The food was phenomenal. The service impeccable. The free kayaks and paddle boards incredible. The price amazing. I'm a little sad to leave a review because I want it all to myself. The snorkel trip I took right from their dock was great. The bed was so comfy. The air worked great. Mini fridge, plenty of shampoo and conditioner. The only down side if there is one is no coffee maker in the room for us super early risers. But the ladies who run the restaurant clearly never sleep they have breakfast and coffee ready in the morning. One other note. The room was great but if you were sharing with another couple there are no doors on the bathroom or shower however both are spacious and lovely.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. The resort is on a quieter part of Sandy Bay so you can enjoy beach, dock and great snorkeling. Our room was clean and comfortable. Miss Rose and her team provided wonderful meals. Concierge services were great at setting up island experiences. We will definitely return to Puerta Azul when in Roatan.

We stayed at Puerta Azul with our two children 10 and 14. The staff was amazing, the concierge service helped us book excursions and arranged transportation with experienced drivers. The food was amazing and we enjoyed all the staff who took the time to get to know us. property is clean and peaceful. The dock with the hammocks became our favorite place to relax for the week. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks on property l. The only downside is that there are no restaurants or shopping within walking distance. However we would still prefer to stay on this property rather than the very busy “tourist” areas that are more walkable.

The entire staff was incredibly friendly. There was a sense of family. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, and that our experience on Roatan was unforgettable.

My wife and I recently spent 8 days at Puerta Azul to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We found the grounds and the staff excellent! Talia and Monica were fantastic and were attentive to our needs and made our stay very enjoyable. Monica and Danielle were extremely knowledgeable about the island and were able to impart plenty of information to help us enjoy our stay and explore Roatan.
Rose (the chef) and the wait staff were tremendous and the food at Puerta Azul was delicious. We were able to renew our vows and the sunset ceremony was something that my wife and I will always treasure.
If you are looking for a truly unique experience ,we highly recommend Puerta Azul!

I stayed here with my friend and it exceeded our expectations! It was right on the beach which was gorgeous. Monica was extremely helpful! The food and drinks were amazing as well and the kitchen staff was so friendly. Definitely coming back!
