I know the hotel was right by the bay and the pools were great. But the room was cheap, out dated, and not maintained well. The door knob fell off, there was a water puddle near the front of the door, and the shower made noises and the shower floor was not level. The facets, what built in the 50s!? No microwave. Even the cheapest hotels have a microwave. We were offered free coffee between the hours of 6 to 7am. Wowww. Rooms need a lot of work. But why fix up? Shoot the hotel is right by the water. I just can't believe the money I spent to stay there. I got cheated. I just think have some pride..

Peaceful, relaxing and beautiful location. Steps from a private beach. Customer service excellent and very accommodating. Would come back.

Hello dear Sandcastle Hotel,
We loved staying here in december-winter , but -
The rooms were freezing cold ... It will be nice to have small-mini heater if possible ... Target store sells those.
We asked small heater from front desk , but they never brought a heater to us.
it was hard to fall asleep at night , because the rooms were very cold - freezing.

very dark garage, people working on car in garage, elevator looked dissheveled and doors were not working properly.....whole property needs upgrades except for pool area

Property needed some upkeep. Carpet duct tapes together. Ceilings in too. We’re full of dust and cobwebs. Outside bar was nice, great shrimp po boy.

First the staff were excellent, professional and helpful. Second the condition of building in general was old and in need of repair.

I love the place but it is in disrepair. Great pools and right on the ocean. Great beach. But it is in disrepair.

Outside is very nice. Pool bar and restaurant awsome service. The rooms need some updating. The first room that I received I refused to stay in smelled like moth balls and not clean. 2nd room better but paid for the upgrade.

The location was good even though we need to drive into town. There was a trolly that we did not take advantage of. The tiki bar by the pool had bartenders that acted like the did not want to be there. They were not friendly.
