We were travelling from Australia in March 2020 & booked in to Hotel Villa des Consuls for 4 nights as part of a extensive road trip through France.. When we checked in the Corona Virus pandemic was intensifying causing a great deal of uncertainty. We must compliment the Hotel for the outstanding service we received from start to finish of our stay in a very abnormal period of time. The hotel position is brilliant and we were greeted by a friendly and professional staff member at reception. Our room was absolutely superb with lashings of ”WOW” factor. The room was spacious,well equipped,spotlessly clean with a balcony view overlooking the beautiful town of Salart. Our stay was 5 star in all aspects and the new owner who took over in January 2020 made our time at the hotel extremely memorable. We have traveled around the world for many years and this is one of the nicest stays we have ever had.The quality of the property really made the difference. This was our last stop in France due to the Pandemic lock down but we will be back We have no hesitation in highly recommending Hotel La Villa des Consuls to travelers who are looking for that special accommodation experience. I went to Dordogne to stay at this house for two nights. I booked a triple room. The room was not big, but the bathroom was large and very clean. The accommodation does not include breakfast. We bought breakfast separately. 12 euros/person. The breakfast variety is very rich. The service staff we met are very enthusiastic. The parking lot is also large and convenient for self-driving. This hotel is also very cost-effective and very satisfied.

The best attributes of Ibis Sarlat are easy walking distance to the town centre and secure on-site parking. Otherwise, it seemed like most other Ibis hotels where we've stayed. A relatively compact room with fairly comfortable bed and adequate bathroom facilities. No extras such as in-room tea or coffee making or fridge. Overall it was fine for a three-night stay and the advance booking rate was very good.

Nous avons passé deux nuits dans un petit chalet tout cosy bien ombragé et au calme à seulement 20 minutes à pied du centre ville de Sarlat. Très bien équipé pour y manger surplace. Tres propre aussi. Possibilité de louer draps et serviettes. La piscine très agréable avec ses transats ainsi qu’une table de ping-pong et plein d’autres activités. Nous recommandons cet endroit pour y passer un séjour apaisant

What a brilliant small hotel! I visited with my teenage son for a few days so he could practice his French, and we also did a half day kayaking, and pottered around Sarlat eating loads of nice food. Christine was a superb host - giving us great tips on the area, and spoiling us at breakfast with even more great food. She even went way beyond when arranging to send the iPad to the UK after my son left it in the room. We also loved the pool. 5-10 mins walk into town, the main square is a great place to people watch! For food our two favourites were La Crémerie (lunch) and Coin Coin (casual evening dinner). La romana was decent for pizza too. Kayaking is a must do - we did the Vitrac to Beynac route which took 3.5 hours including an hour break in beautiful La rogue-gageac. Highly recommend the area and this welcoming small hotel!

The hotel position is brilliant and we were greeted by a friendly and professional staff member at reception. Our room was absolutely superb with lashings of ”WOW” factor. The room was spacious,well equipped,spotlessly clean with a balcony view overlooking the beautiful town of Salart. Our stay was 5 star in all aspects and the new owner who took over in January 2020 made our time at the hotel extremely memorable. We have traveled around the world for many years and this is one of the nicest stays we have ever had.The quality of the property really made the difference. This was our last stop in France due to the Pandemic lock down but we will be back We have no hesitation in highly recommending Hotel La Villa des Consuls to travelers who are looking for that special accommodation experience. The best attributes of Ibis Sarlat are easy walking distance to the town centre and secure on-site parking. Otherwise, it seemed like most other Ibis hotels where we've stayed. A relatively compact room with fairly comfortable bed and adequate bathroom facilities. No extras such as in-room tea or coffee making or fridge. Overall it was fine for a three-night stay and the advance booking rate was very good.

What a brilliant small hotel! I visited with my teenage son for a few days so he could practice his French, and we also did a half day kayaking, and pottered around Sarlat eating loads of nice food. Christine was a superb host - giving us great tips on the area, and spoiling us at breakfast with even more great food. She even went way beyond when arranging to send the iPad to the UK after my son left it in the room. We also loved the pool. 5-10 mins walk into town, the main square is a great place to people watch! For food our two favourites were La Crémerie (lunch) and Coin Coin (casual evening dinner). La romana was decent for pizza too. Kayaking is a must do - we did the Vitrac to Beynac route which took 3.5 hours including an hour break in beautiful La rogue-gageac. Highly recommend the area and this welcoming small hotel!

We bought breakfast separately. 12 euros/person. The breakfast variety is very rich. The service staff we met are very enthusiastic. The parking lot is also large and convenient for self-driving. This hotel is also very cost-effective and very satisfied.

Accueil très sympathique par le propriétaire Sébastien qui nous a donné pleins d’infos sur la région à découvrir. Nous avons passé deux nuits dans un petit chalet tout cosy bien ombragé et au calme à seulement 20 minutes à pied du centre ville de Sarlat. Très bien équipé pour y manger surplace. Tres propre aussi. Possibilité de louer draps et serviettes. La piscine très agréable avec ses transats ainsi qu’une table de ping-pong et plein d’autres activités. Nous recommandons cet endroit pour y passer un séjour apaisant
