Apart from being almost on the beach itself, this place is a bit overrated as far as overall quality of certain aspects of their offer in services and amenities. Room is confortable, view from it is fabulous but…the pillows are horribly hard, woke up with a sore neck, the food at their restaurant is kind of ok if you choose Thai food but for American food, it is, let say, less than average, there are some choices that they scratch from their menu because they just don’t know how to cook it, simple thing bruschetta, club sandwich, breakfast is also pretty boring if you not Asian; cold and uncooked chicken sausages, cold chicken ham presented in cold water bowl, coffee is good though and toast are great, I ended up eating that only…last déception, beach access from beach front villa number 2 you need to walk about 200 meters right to the marina entrance or 200 meters left to the restaurant to get access to the beach that is about 20 meters right in front of your room. There is a concrete wall, high of about 1.6 meters that separates you from the beautiful white sand beach. See photos attached…

The scenery and service are great, the location of the hotel is on the cliff, the water is very clear. The service is attentive and the breakfast tastes good. The air conditioner is turned on before the customer enters the store. The only fly in the oin**ent is that the wifi signal is not very good and there are a few stains on the sheets. There is 24-hour hot water, and it is very convenient to return to the hotel to take a shower and wash your hair after going out to sea. There are basically no mosquitoes in the house, so you can live with peace of mind.

We were met at the pier by one of the hotel team members who carted our luggage all the way to the hotel. Check-in was a bit odd as there is no front desk so everything is done at the bar. Our unit was at the very back of the resort, backing the kitchen which was very noisy first thing in the morning and woke us up every morning. It's definitely dated and could use some updating. The mini fridge in the unit worked but was literally falling apart and we had a mess of rusty water a few times. Safe in the room didn't work for us. Tons of mosquitoes early morning and at dusk so make sure to bring or purchase good repellent and the coils for the front deck area if you plan to sit outside. No pool but the snorkeling right out front of the resort was really good when we were there. We were told by the owner that throughout the year the visibility and water will change, so although we had perfect water, it won't necessarily be like that in a few months. Some of the fish are a bit aggressive so careful of that. One bit me hard enough that it broke the skin surface and I was bleeding. The beach chairs were nice as well but get taken up pretty quickly. Beach towels were available at the bar. The free breakfast was ok but the coffee was often only lukewarm. Tons of flies flying around the bar area so best to try and get a table nearby to eat at. We had lunch a couple times from the resort and it was pretty good. They brought it right to our table on the beach. Main busy area isn't too far of a walk down the beach. Out of the 7 islands we visited in Thailand, Lipe was the most unfriendly we found as well as the most expensive.

Its a very very Nice hotel - rooms were comfortable, staff really really friendly, location perfect pools were okay. Unfortunately the Main pool by the Beach, werent cleaned every day:-(. I could only wish that the staff at the restaurant could speak and understand english. We liked the happy hour, the bar and the staff - Thanks to all at the Ananya Lipe - we’ll be back👍🏻👍🏻

When we arrived at the immigration office, two Ricci staff came to us, took our luggage, waited for us. They drove us back to the hotel on their motorcycles. As soon as we arrived, we had a coke and delicious pineapple juice. They helped us to get our luggage to our room. Most importantly, the beautiful lady at the counter gave us good advice to watch the sunrise/sunset and also recommended a good massage. This hotel is very close to the pedestrian street, about 15-15 minutes to Sunrise Beach, so the location is very good. There is a 7-11 next to it, so you can buy whatever you want, whenever you want.

A very nice villa concept by the beach. Very clean and friendly staff. Good spread of breakfast buffet. The only thing, if you stay at the villa near the swimming pool, you need to climb up and down the stairs every time you want to take tuktuk to go out. Alternatively, you can walk by the beach to go to the main road.

Firstly we was greeted on the pier by a member of staff who carried our luggage to the hotel transportation, we had approximately a 10 minute transfer to the hotel. Reception staff were lovely, we was greeted with an ice cold juice as well as a cold towel to cool us down, after a swift check in we was taken to our room on a golf buggy, we stayed in the honeymoon suite. The room itself was beautiful, very big, amazing AC and a jacuzzi inside the room. The room is situated higher up in the complex to allow for great views but with that comes a fairly steep 5 minute walk to get to your room. The breakfast was very good, standard options for Thailand, pastries, yoghurts, rice/noodles, eggs & bacon, pancakes, omelettes made to order plus some home baked cakes and cookies. A good selection of teas, coffees and juices available. The location of the hotel was perfect for us, about a 10 minute walk along the beach to ‘walking street’ which is the hub of the island… the hotel is situated on Pattaya beach and is honestly one of the best beaches I’ve ever been on with certainly the nicest and clearest water. I would happily recommend this hotel and it’s services.

After reading all the 1 star and 5 star reviews, I was a little confused and worried. Well folks, here's our experience at the hotel in Feb 2023. We booked the honeymoon suite because it was actually cheaper than the ocean view room at the time and they both have ocean views anyway. The final rating is ONE star (see below in The Bad). If they get rid of the Tractor, then the real rating is more like 2.5 Stars. Anyway, The good: - Nok was great. She should be the one welcoming you when you first arrive and she's pretty much the only one who can really speak English at the resort and she's really helpful. She takes break in the afternoon but is around most of the time. I feel bad for her since she looks so tired by the end of the day because she's the only one who can really handle guest requests. - The ferry was convenient although not very frequent. I saw reviews where there were some complaints about not knowing the schedule or the last boat being at 8:30. It was clearly written and presented to us when we arrived. Also, this is something logistical that one should find out before going over to the other side anyway. Another bonus is that when you're checking in or out, they will make a special run for free if it's not close to the scheduled time. Captain Ko was friendly and helpful. Note that this is a WET landing which means you enter the boat by walking into the water, a little less than knee deep most of the time. - Breakfast was actually very good - although we only selected the Asian breakfasts. We saw some people getting western breakfast and they just look a little scary. People also complained in reviews that it used to be buffet breakfast and now you only get 1 drink. Well, the breakfast we got was more than enough and very filling. You get 1 drink and also 1 large bottle of water and 1 large bottle of juice. If your drink is plain coffee, you get 1 additional free refill. We had to ask about the coffee refill. - Free use of Kayaks (see the Bad below), free use of standup paddle board (only 1 available), free snorkel and mask and life jacket The OK: - You only get 1 600ml bottle of water per person per day for some reason. We asked about getting more water and the option was to buy a large bottle. I asked further more and then was told that I can get my bottle refilled. Plastic bottles are a HUGE problem everywhere so it's better environmentally and also financially for them to offer refills instead of bottles everyday. The Bad: - The beach is not clean. It's not quite dirty but it's full of roots and tractor marks and does not look inviting at all. You can hike to a nearby beach for a much better and quieter experience, and better snorkeling. - The Kayaks are free for people to use but they are the most uncomfortable kayak I've ever used and I've done plenty of kayaking around the world. Rather than stay, I prefer to go here for a drink and go kayaking or paddleboarding. The accommodation conditions are poor and easy to attract insects. The bed is always dirty for no apparent reason. It is easy to get small bumps after sleeping. After staying for two nights, many small flying mosquitoes were killed on the bed and trampled to death on the bathroom floor. Caterpillar-like reptile. I always feel sticky when I stay in this room.

Very clean. The staff are so lovely, they work so hard to make this place run like clockwork. It’s very basic but a lovely little place, cheerful, lovely atmosphere and away from all the noise. It’s great value for money. Only downside is there’s no pool. Still a fantastic little place though, comfy beds, cosy rooms and spotless.
