The Originals Boutique, Hôtel le Londres, Saumur (Qualys-Hotel)

Everything was there that we needed. TV, kettle tea/coffee, comfortable bed, good shower. For some reason we were upgraded to a 3rd floor apartment but the wi-fi signal was very poor. Breakfast was more than adequate although a little chaotic as so many people turned up together. Excellent facility for the security of our bicycles.

Lovely, very helpful staff and in a very good location in the town centre. However, the room we had was small for the category (Comfort XL) and felt rather tired. Very basic tea/coffee facilities compared with other hotels in the same category. Very clean though, nice bed and bedding. Tiny toilet with a detector light but no switch so you can't stop the light coming on if you need to use the toilet at night. Breakfast and car park are expensive, both at least double what you can find nearby.

A very nice hotel in a nice city. Nice staff, soft beds, creaky floors, authentic atmosphere and a truly great breakfast. If you like French charm this hotel will suit you. We were quite late with our reservation and the staff upgraded us so we would have the two seperate beds we requested without any delay.

Well located, with a very professionnal service. A lot of comics books give a friendly atmosphere. The parking spots are narrow if you have a big car. The breakfast is good and with local and fresh products. I highly recommand this hotel.

Check-in: The person in front of us received a lot of time/attention, I was patient thinking that once it was our turn we would get the same level of care, instead we were rushed so that she could attend to the people behind us. We felt it was rude how we were treated. Room: The bed was very comfortable. Oddly, there was only 1 coffee pod in room for 2 people. The white robe in the room looked visually dirty and smelled like it was dirty but was hung up to be presented as if it was fresh to wear. The pillows were in need of replacement. A previous TA review mentions the pillows and the response to that review was that they should have asked for another pillow. We feel that if people are stating that the pillows are in poor condition, maybe it is time to update them. I do not want to have to go back to the desk and ask for a clean robe/another coffee pod and a different pillow. Hangers in closet space didn't fit the rod they were on, the hangers were useless, it was a strange set up. The comforter is too warm for the weather conditions, too loud out to open windows plus there were a lot of mosquitoes at the time we were there. This made for uncomfortable sleep. Interior lock on door was broken. Our room was dated and in need of attention. Shower had black mold in the caulking. Room could use a new coat of paint. The shower has a glass panel that covers about half the tub, the shower wand didn't sit correctly in its holder causing water to go all over the floor. Large plastic bulky key chain unnecessary, not convenient to carry around. Breakfast: Seating well spaced. The breakfast room opened about 15 minutes late one morning, an inconvenience when we were on a tight schedule. You can get far better bakery products in the bakery a street away; the quality of the croissants served was poor. Scrambled eggs and bacon brought out COLD. Not even room temperature. Breads/juice/yogurt/fruit/nuts/ham/cheese were available. Lobby had wine/snacks for purchase. Parking: Tight parking in back, additional 10-, reserve in advance if you require parking.

We were just passing through for this one night stay. Nice place, easy friendly check-in and check-out. Centrally located to downtown. Room comfortable and clean. Breakfast nice with good selections. Got lucky with paid street parking just a few spots down from the hotel. Would stay here again!

Parking on the street but at night its free. The biggest thing is if Irena(Night concierge) recommends a place to eat do it the place she sent me to was amazing.

A warm welcome from very friendly and helpful staff gets a stay at the 'Londres' off to the best of starts. Spotless and comfortable rooms, an excellent and plentiful breakfast and, a great boon for the traveller - a private car park, all combine to make this hotel a real gem. Central in the busy town of Saumur, there are lots of eating places close by and much to see, especially the world-renowned Tank Museum.

Our one night stay here was lovely. The location is excellent for exploring Saumur, beds are comfy, rooms are quiet, and staff are friendly and welcoming and have excellent local knowledge. Parking (if requested in advance) is behind the hotel and easy access.
