Khem Villas

We stayed at Khem Villas for 3 nights in April 2024 to safari in Ranthambore. The hotel is a beautiful property with lots of land to explore. The naturalist can take you on a nature walk where you can see amazing wildlife without leaving the hotel. She has amazing knowledge and this was a real highlight - an asset to the hotel. The food is great & varied. The staff serve the food at the tables or sometimes there is buffet style. Dinner is Indian food but lunch can be international and breakfast is a mix. Breakfast is served after the morning safari, but coffee & sandwiches are available before or to take with you. The staff are very kind and always ready to help you. Another great point is the hotel provide water and snacks for you to take during your safaris. This was a lovely touch. The only negative point is there is no WiFi in the standard room so if you book this category you can only use WiFi in the communal areas. However the room is nice and conveniently located.

We stayed In a superior tent which was lovely and we could not fault it in any way. The bed was so comfortable, the best on our 3 week tour. The grounds are beautiful and the staff very pleasant. Now for the not so good. The food lacked variety and was boring and instead of coming around with a tiny portion of a samos before dinner whilst having a drink, it would have been more enjoyable to have had a few starters to select at the buffet. Also I was rather surprised to find no phone in our tent or any other means of contacting someone in an emergency, especially at night! That really should be addressed! As foreign guests our mobiles do not work in India. Maybe ***agement could follow another hotel we stayed at that supplied a mobile so we could contact reception for help if required?

Highly recommend. We stayed in superior tent 27. Absolutely beautiful. All the staff without exception were considerate and attentive. We did 2 guided nature walks around camp - you should do this. Food was plentiful and delicious. Housekeeping was brilliant. Book your safaris well in advance through external provider. Staff went out of their way to help us with logistics. Very quiet and peaceful. Very comfortable bed and great hot showers. Outdoor one was fun. Stay here!!

Very serene and beautiful! The food was delicious and the staff super helpful and friendly. We did 3 safaris and saw so ***y different terrains, birds, deer, and 4 Tigers. The monkeys are hilarious to watch and the nature walk was very interesting

A haven of peace and tranquility with a twist of Indian spice, vegetation and wildlife. Fablous masala tea and lovely attentive staff. Beautiful rooms and facilities. An experience not to missed. Dont forget to watch out for tigers, monkeys and alligators!

This resort and our two safaris in the Ranthambore National Park were definitely one of the highlights of an amazing trip to India. We stayed for two nights in the most luxurious tent imaginable, with rocking chairs on the veranda, a king size bed and an outside “rainforest” shower. The staff were welcoming, polite, friendly and could not do enough for us. The a**osphere was intimate with relatively few guests, all there to go on safari. It was good to chat to other guests around the camp fires in the outdoor bar in the evenings, and the food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious. On our last morning we toured the resort with one of the resident naturalists, who introduced us to the crocodiles and shared lots of information about the huge variety of plants and animals. She also had some great stories to tell, and showed us a video she had shot on the property of a python eating a crocodile!!! We were incredibly lucky on safari, and across two outings (one in the early morning and one in the afternoon), we saw a whole myriad of animals and birds in their natural habitat, including a sloth bear carrying her baby on her back and six tigers! This is an experience not to be missed!! T

I cannot say enough great things about this place! Khem Villas accommodations and staff were fantastic. From the moment we arrived the staff was very attentive to us. The rooms are cleaned twice a day and immaculate. As room comforts go our bed was cozy with AC and the shower was large with good pressure and hot water. Depending on which room you choose, we enjoyed an afternoon in a private jacuzzi with a view overlooking the villa’s impressive property. All our meals came from the villas property and everything was very fresh and delicious ! We also had a private dinner booked one of the nights that overlooks the pond. No words can describe how gorgeous this set up was. If you’re coming on holiday or special occasion, I highly recommend the private dinner! Another recommendation is the tour of the property which we did with Dinesh. He was fantastic! So much wildlife and fresh herbs can be seen on the property. Khem Villa helped book us two safaris. One tiger safari and one Chambal River safari. Both were amazing!! Khem Villas borders Ranthambore national park by zone 4 which is a popular zone for tiger sightings. During our stay there was a tiger sighting on the property early in the morning by some of the staff! We also saw Sambar deer relaxing by the lake right near the chairs and fire pit. A variety of birds can be seen right outside your rooms too.

A great experience in thisbout of town hotel.Rooms comfortable,service excellent ,food very good.Arrangements for safaris brilliant a hot water bottle and blanket for early morning safari drive plus snacks.Very peaceful surroundings,lovely garden.The staff were extremely helpful,friendly and efficient.

Wonderful experience. Amazing cuisine using home grown produce. Sweet staff. Gorgeous sundowners by lagoon and open fire. Convenient for the tiger reserve. A gem. Clean. We had a lovely time and are happy to recommend this hotel for visitors to Ranthanbire
