This was our second stay at Villa Giordanelli (stayed there in September 2021) and it was terrific. Located on Via fume Lao just a short walk to the pedestrian only section of Scalea is everything you need in a small B&B. Agnieszka is the "chief cook and bottle washer" at the villa. She checked us in, showed us to our room and explained the amenities, and prepares breakfast each day either in the garden or inside depending upon the weather. She also does the room cleaning (unless her colleague is their) and checks us out. In short, she's awesome! The rooms at the villa are quite large,, more than adequate compared to more typical European B&Bs. It's a short walk to the beach area and is centrally located on the Calbrian coast to visit some adjacent towns like Praia a Mare, Maratha, Diamante and the beautiful small village of San Nicolo Arcella. The villa has been recently renovated, rooms are bright, well appointed, great bathrooms and excellent wifi. This is the perfect spot to explore the northern coast of Scalea...a must stay place.

My wife and I spent 5 nights at the Villa Giordanelli in September 2021. The villa is located in a perfect spot in Scalea, just a short walk to the pedestrian only piazza, a 10 minute walk to the beach as well as many fine restaurants. It is a small villa with just 3 rooms, we stayed in the Tiffany Suite. A very large room with ensuite...very clean, had all the necessary amenities including free wifi, daily housekeeping and daily breakfast either in the garden, the outdoor balcony or if the weather was suitable, in an upstairs common room. The owner Domenico is a wonderful man (who also has an in up the road a bit in San Nicolo Arcella) and his son Andrea and his staff are great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Villa Giordanelli and we are likely to return to the Scalea area of Calbria next fall, and will definitely stay at the Villa again. Enjoy!

Villa bellissima, atmosfera suggestiva d'altri tempi. Prato paradisiaco e rilassante. La signora che ci ha accolto è stata gentilissima. Il proprietario Andrea preparato, competente e esaustivo già dalla fase del precheck in al telefono Grazie Rosalba

Il soggiorno in questa splendida villa coloniale è stato come realizzare un sogno. Una sorta di salto temporale in una villa coloniale di fine ‘800 con arredi e suppellettili dell’epoca con un tocco di moderno nel comfort. Pavimenti con meravigliose cementine stile Liberty, foto e oggetti dell’epoca che riportano ad altri tempi ad altre storie. Immersa nel verde, un agrumeto e alberi che creano ombra e ristoro dalla calura estiva, la residenza Giordanelli è a pochi passi da un mare cristallino e al centro storico caratterizzato dalla sua forma a scala (probabilmente da qui il nome Scalea). Le camere sono ampie con alti soffitti e arredi di gran gusto con la possibilità di avere anche suite con più camere da letto con salottino nobiliare nel centro. Colazione abbondante sia dolce che salate e pulizia ineccepibile, oltre che personale gentilissimo e attento. Speriamo di ritornarci presto e godere di altri giorni in questa magnifica residenza.

Ottima esperienza, parlando con il proprietario ma soprattutto con Agnese che la gestisce in maniera ottima e con molta attenzione agli ospiti. Colazione sul terrazzino sulla facciata verso l'ingresso, ma in alternativa si puo' sul prato appena sotto. Peccato che il parco sia stato necessariamente ricostruito e sia ne nessaria la crescita di quanto interrato da poco.
