Premier Inn Scarborough (South Bay)

First the positives. The room was very clean, comfortable and bathroom was obviously recently refurbished. Breakfast was excellent and good value, but more on that later. Now the not so good, or could do better! The check in policy is ludicrous, I understand they need to have a designated check in time, but whilst waiting (40 minutes) I overheard the staff clearly stating that all rooms were ready for guests, but as people were entering the reception they were informed that check was not possible until 3pm and they had to wait or pay £10.00 for an early check in! The result was a packed reception and when they did commence check in, due to a “new system “ it was painfully slow! Very poor customer service. The breakfast was good value, but the attitude of the cashier guy was poor at best, probably rude if to be defined. On approaching him I was asked “ breakfast for two “ to which I replied “ no there’s only one” to which he snapped “ well I’m not to know that!” Not expected and yes rude!

Very clean, excellent value, great reception team Just avoid Sunday breakfast, did not eat in the end… too busy but meal deal across 3 days was great value Fab location but room only better on a Saturday night as dining facilities under pressure

Great hotel food is lovely, staff are great, room was very clean. We had a family room kids loved it to and slept great. Loads to choose from at breakfast time and very good quality

We couldn’t have stayed anywhere better the service and the room was phenomanal from start to finish, highly reccomend and breakfast had a wide variety and was delicious

Stayed for a junior cricket tour. The hotel was as good as always for what we wanted. Comfy beds, clean, warm welcome and an extremely child friendly feel. It is a cracking location, the bar is accessible with plenty of seating, rooms have everything you need and the breakfasts are great. Stayed here several times now, good value for money, will definitely be back

Good service by staff a clean room as usual.Food deal taken by us was good value , but on the Sunday night we were told to leave the restaurant because they were closing ,10 pm what a a thing to do to hotel guests.

Clean room. Friendly staff at check-in. Comfortable bed and bedding. Lots of twisty corridors but rooms well signposted. Really good location, in the town centre and not far from the seafront. Car park was nearby and secure, reasonably priced at £12 for 24 hours.

From when we checked in we could hear thuds of noise above us from 3 pm this didn’t stop on and off till 11.30pm 12am then started again at 7am we also had are door banged on twice by teenagers at 9pm 9.30pm I went down to the staff at the desk and complained regarding this issue but the noise still continued for us the staff didn’t give us an option to change are roomdue to the noise issue with unsupervised children upstairs I have never experienced this at any premier inn wish I never stayed at this hotel. Disappointed
