Very good hotel in a quiet area away from the crowds on the mountains. It snowed when we arrived. It was beautiful in the morning. Front desk lady was very friendly. Breakfast was very good. Great hotel for a one night stay.

You are right at the top of the world here! Schonwald is an exciting, absolutely beautiful place and this property is right in the heart of it...and very affordable too!

We had three rooms at the hotel. Upon going to bed, we found out that one room had feces on the sheets and the other room had human hair on the sheets. At 10:00 pm, there was no one to contact to get clean sheets so we had to sleep on the bare mattress. The next day when we told the owner, she never apologized, just changed the sheets. In addition, the smoke alarms do not work. All three rooms had smoke alarms mounted on the ceilings but did not have any batteries in them. It was very concerning since we were on the third floor of a very old building with no fire escape. I have no idea how it would pass a fire inspection!

Very nice traditional guest house. Parking a-bit limited. Host extremely welcoming and accommodating. Overall very much enjoy.

Booked two rooms at the last minute. Arrived after 8pm, hungry...staff allowed us to order dinner through the onsite restaurant. It was the most expensive dinner we had had thus far during our trip and we only ordered 2 beers, 2 sodas, 2 salads, a dessert and chicken fingers...but we didn't complain b/c we were hungry.
There were some language barriers with the staff but overall no complaints. We didn't get a chance to explore the town. Parking was onsite and free and there was a breakfast included.

Great place for the value, close to attractions, great amenities. The restaurant was very good, very competitive pricing, great breakfast. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My only two issues were that when I checked in, I was not given the Wifi password information and it was not posted anywhere in the room. The other was the lack of parking on the premises. We checked in and left, by the time we got back, the reception desk was closed and there was no more parking. With no one available to assist me with the Wifi information or parking issue. I still managed to squeeze into a spot in front of the entry. However, some older gentleman which I had seen earlier behind the reception desk when I checked out, still felt the need to tell me something in a rude way about where I ended up parking.

Staff was very friendly!! Beds were comfortable and clean. Bathrooms are a little small but it’s Europe!
