The Olde Ship Inn

Great room (No 5) with 4 poster bed. Plenty of room. Inn very quirky with lots of small rooms to eat and drink. Breakfast was good with reasonable choice. Evening menu was also of good standard and selection, would recommend. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Not great! A hotel with a nautical theme which is stuck in the 70s. Rooms so so dated. Clean, but very old furniture, carpet and linen. Room temperature far too warm as well even after opening the window. Food was very poor. Presented like the chef didn’t care and didn’t taste grate. Feel a bit unwell after eating it. Had a parfait with some basic bread which was cut in a peculiar way. My main of steak and ale pie had a weird whole carrot served with it and a horrid tasting mash which I left. Hotel and meal very cheap but just not great and couldn’t recommend to anyone. 2 course dinner and a beer £32 and hotel and breakfast £85. Young blonde haired waitress in the restaurant a credit to the business. Very professional and friendly. I would suggest to the owners to modernise the hotel, get a new chef and start charging more!

Lovely pub in great location on the Seahouses harbour, 5 minutes drive to Bamburgh castle. Single room was very comfortable with enough room to move around and unpack a suitcase. Bar was excellent, as was the restaurant. Included breakfast was exceptional!

I love this place the hotel is fab the staff are all fabulous everyone knows what they have to do and get on with it very helpful and pleasant nothing too much trouble the only downside was the menu was the same for the entire week same soup each day not enough choice too repetitive we ate across the road due to lack of choice the breakfast was OK the bacon and sausage were overcooked the car park was for staff and disabled guests unfortunately this disabled guest could not park due to staff cars

A very consciously family-run hotel, with excellent friendly swift and helpful service, in clean and perfectly well looked after old-world charm - the four-poster room and high bed was a special treat! The menu was broad, not as fishy as we might have liked, but for two nights we managed to have perfect seafood on both occasions, the moules in a rich creamy wine sauce, and the chowder magnificently generous and tasty. We will definitely go there again.

Spent two nights in the Olde Ship Inn at Seahouses, the pub is right by the harbour and was busy with guests. The bathroom had a small shower cubicle but was made better by also having a roll top bath. The breakfast was filling with plenty of choices. The restaurant was busy in the evening. Its ideal as a base for exploring the castles, the beaches and old towns of Northumberland.

Popped in for breakfast here and it was very pleasant. The lady who fitted us in was lovely and the eggs Benedict was perfect. Also very nice coffee and delicious local butter. The decor was classically nautical, as you would expect from both the name & the location. It was clean cosy and the meal for two of us good value. We met a couple of dogs inside, so it is obviously welcoming to our furry friends.

Just up the road from the harbour. Great selection of Food for breakfast freshly cooked. Dinner was tasty with large portions. Room a little cramped with not much room to put your suitcase. Bathroom a good size. The bungalow would benefit from an extra bathroom

I just love this place. The pub itself is AMAZING and the staff always friendly and lovely. The rooms are ok, but really I go here to enjoy the pub and the location - right near the sea. An absolute gem of a place which I will continue going back to! Thank you.
