Another wonderful stay at the fabulous Ouse Bridge House. I’m already checking the diary to see when we can possibly return! So warm and welcoming. Really comfortable beds, great sized, luxurious bath towels, high end toiletries and fresh milk for the tea & coffee in your room are just some of the highlights. The cosy lounge area with a well stocked honesty bar and a fabulous selection of books is perfect for relaxing after a day’s walking/swimming in this most beautiful area. And what can I say about the breakfast? Definitely the best I’ve ever had in a B&B - actually anywhere! This place is an absolute gem run by the nicest couple you could meet. So pleased we discovered it. Highly, highly recommend.

Fabulous B and B in a stunning location. East for parking and near main road. Perfect to swim in Bassenthwaite or explore nearby. Excellent breakfast and great room. Run by a friendly and helpful couple who made us feel at home. Highly recommended

A warm and welcoming place to stay. Beautiful house with lovely features. I was greeted at the door and made instantly welcome. The room was lovely, overlooking the car park with the lake across the road. The bed was perfect for a good night sleep. I don't eat a great deal at breakfast but what I had was lovely. The additional sitting area had options for seating, table and chairs of a sofa with plenty of space to relax

My partner and I had the most lovely stay with Virginia & Ben and their family. We stayed for 3 nights and found the B&B to be perfect, the location at the top of the lake was brilliant for both of us as we love open water swimming. this was even better as it was a very hot couple of days. Our trip was for the Keswick Mountain Festival and we found transport to and from the festival very easy with the super close bus stop just at the end of the road. The nights were silent and the views from our room looking over the rear fields were perfect in the evening setting sunshine. However, the best thing we HAVE to mention is the Breakfast! it was super easy to order the night before and had loads of options for veggies and vegans. We really can not wait to stay again.

Super friendly family run guest house just a stone’s throw from Bassenthwaite Sailing Club. Second stay for me over the past two years. Good communication following booking. Booking direct is cheaper than through agents. Tasty breakfasts.

Picture perfect location, incredible hosts, wonderful breakfast. Short drive to Keswick centre, abundance of walks on the doorstep and spectacular panoramic views. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay in the Lake District. Thank you!

The welcome, extremely friendly atmosphere and relaxed environment make all the difference to your stay. Every effort was made to make your stay enjoyable. The location and the views are perfect. The breakfast is perfectly cooked with a good selection to choose from, with some lovely healthy options.

We booked The Ouse Bridge Hotel because I was taking part in a Sailing Event at Bassenthwaite Sailing Club which is on the opposite side of the road! We found the hosts Ben & Virginia to be warm and friendly and very helpful. We stayed in room 2 on the first floor which looks out over the meadows to the rear. It was spacious with an ensuite bathroom with a shower cubicle, sink and toilet. There was a TV and Tea & Coffee making facilities. However the highlight of our stay were the amazing breakfasts. Virginia sends you a form by email the previous day and you select the breakfast options you would like!

Throughly enjoyed by stay at the B&B. Hosts were really welcoming and friendly and made you feel at home. Room was lovely and very confortable and I had two really good nights sleep. There is ample onsite parking so its easy to park. Breakfast featured local pork sausages and was yummy. In terms of location its easy to reach of the a66, on a quite road. It takes 10 mins to drive to Keswick for the shops/resturants and for great walks. Cockermouth is about 10 mins in the other direction. However, what I liked most was the filter coffee type tea bags given you real coffee. Really made me happy when I had to leave at silly oclock to drive back to London. Thanks again and will be back.
