Homeinn（Shanghai Huaihaizhong Road WuKang Building）

This is a simple hotel in a good location. Close to wukang building which is gorgeous. Very basic amenities. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Loved the washing machine/dryer and kitchenette. Only issue was the hot water was not hot in the shower.

With this price ,highly not recommended!This is an apartment not hotel.

Opposite to Wukang maison. 200m from Jiaotong subway station. Very good location. Good hotel. I will come back.

Of the 5 Shanghai properties in the same price range that I've stayed in this month, this place has definitely been my favorite. Previously, the Nanying Hotel (only about 500 meters away) held this title, but Reese (I don't think this is their actual English name, by the way) on Xingguo Road really impressed me all fronts. I would give it 5 stars for both service and location, but you need to realize that it's more of a serviced apartment than a hotel and doesn't have a fancy Huaihai Road entrance. But, for roughly the same price as Nanying, I got an entire apartment with brand new appliances, and a location that I think is slightly better (e.g. you have Wukang and Xingguo almost right at the entrance). Meanwhile, the front desk staff is amazing; they helped me deal with requests, such as a botched 京东 delivery, that other hotels wouldn't even think about entertaining.

Very helpful staff, well situated. Fantastic location for architecture enthusiasts. (Very close to Normandie apartments). Beds were a bit hard for my parents.
