The hotel is only worth the money for its location. Due to several hours of flight delays, we only reached the hotel around 3 AM. The hotel does not offer 24-hour front desk service, and the staff who registered us had a very unfriendly black face and strict attitude, likely because he had to work overtime to accommodate us. The hotel reached out to us at night to check on our arrival time, but we were unable to respond because the communication was via email and I couldn't reply directly. Luckily, I contacted Trip's customer service team, and they helped respond to the hotel on our behalf. Please do not indicate 24-hour front desk if that is not the truth. The only person there during midnight is the security guard.
We booked three rooms for the family, and normally hotels will assign rooms on the same floor, especially if the elevator requires an access card for different levels. However, they offered us two rooms on Level 3 and one room on Level 2, which was very inconvenient for us to access other family members' rooms, especially since it was our first time and first night in Shanghai, and we arrived at midnight. Fortunately, we requested to be moved to rooms on the same floor for the second night, and they agreed. Overall, the room assignment was inconsiderate.
The room is extremely small, and the layout is very awkward, making it difficult to accommodate two people. Looking forward for improvement.
