The room is very nice and enough space. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The food at the bar was very tasty. I had a light snack and I could have eaten another serving of the potato bread with garlic butter. Great location in the centre of town

Had a lovely stay during our visit to the Cotswolds. Rooms were large enough and very comfortable. Very fitting decoration. The staff was amazing. Great breakfast as well. Would recommend to everybody. Situated in the middle of all of the beautiful towns.

Stayed here back in May! Absolutely amazing stay, the room was a dream 😍 decorated to such a high standard, everything you could wish for! The bathroom was huge, the bath was the perfect way to start bank holiday Monday! Cannot recommend it highly enough, we are coming back next week and I cannot wait! Thank you so much ❤️

Rude staff, average overpriced pretentious food. Looks great having spent all that money but really should look at basics like the food offering and customer service. Go there and see for yourself....check out all the shipston eateries-there is better value available.

The rooms were lovely and our bed was so comfortable. We had a delicious meal on Friday evening. The staff were great and very welcoming. It was the ideal place to base ourselves for our family wedding weekend. Shipston is a very interesting little town and the George is at its heart. We will return.

My family attended The George today. We'd had a wake booked next door at The White Bear for a couple of weeks but after being there 30 minutes we were told we would not be getting any food as their chef was still asleep - at 3pm! We went next door to The George on a mercy mission not feeling very hopeful. However the staff could not have been more sympathetic and accommodating. They managed to put on a beautiful buffet including a variety of sandwiches, chips and salad and the most delicious cake I've ever tasted. The George saved the day and we were able to give our family member the send off she deserved. Thank you so much to everyone involved who pulled it out the bag for us x

Brilliant place to stay. Room was well equipped, had everything we needed and was very clean and tidy. Bathroom was nice and bright, water was piping hot, so the shower was brilliant. Bar was good and the food was excellent, as were the staff. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Superb Highly recommend staying here.

A great one-night stay at The George Townhouse. We arrived early and the staff were happy for us to leave our car in the free car-park whilst we headed out into the Cotswold coutryside on our bikes. When we returned, the staff once again helped us out by allowing us to store our bikes in an unused room. Our room was very clean, spacious and comfy with a great bathroom. We enjoyed a couple of drinks out on the sunny rear-terrace, before a very good meal in the restaurant. When we got back to our room that night, we discovered a drip of water coming from the room above, probably due to a misplaced shower head. The staff were very helpful, and apologetically adjusted our bill accordingly next morning. They couldn't have been done more for us. We had a excellent cooked breakfast in the restaturant next morning, and would highly recommend a stay at the George.

Absolutely fabulous stay at The George! Perfectly situated to explore the Cotswolds and all of the staff were so attentive and lovely. Special shoutout to Jordan Williams and Kieran who were so friendly and made it feel like a home from home. Breakfast was great too. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would definitely stay again :)
