Kostas Apartments

These apar**ents are perfectly situated in Sidari… 2 mins walk to the heart of everything and the beach. They are tired and need a little tender loving care but were perfect for what we needed and the price we paid. 2 lovely, well maintained outdoor pools and a nice pool bar that serves food and drink all day. All the staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough to help with any queries we may have had which is just as well because we never saw the rep all week! This holiday was wonderful and I would go back in heartbeat… if you want the creature comforts you get at home….. stay at home! If you want a no frills holiday in a beautiful town, 2 mins from the beach with entertainment in every bar then I can’t recommend this place enough. If you want B & B the Pardise Hotel is next to the appar**ents and run by the same people.

We booked our stay with jet2 - obviously wasn't expecting luxury as advertised as 2* - just expecting basic with a Clean bed and bathroom- we got neither. We arrived in a taxi and had to hunt for someone - there was no checkin procedure what so ever - a man came to the taxi and handed me a key saying you are in number 1 and just pointed to a block - the he left. We stayed 1 night as we arrived at 1am. Next morning we left and found our own alternative accommodation. These appar**ents are very dated,dark and dingy. The bed was dirty and the bathroom was disgusting with mould all around the shower and a brown filthy toilet bowl. We were not going to be using the kitchen facilities other than for a hot drink but the small oven was covered on the outside with rust and the kettle was furry inside! Avoid at all costs

Stayed at Kostas part of paradise,studio small but we managed,very basic but clean,bathroom ok small with tiny shower,pool area lovely and clean,seemed to be plenty sunbeds on certain days think might been changeover day ,other days they went early but by afternoon there was normally some free ,not allowed to eat own food or drink around pool,we got drinks from pool bar was expensive compared to outside hotel,never ate at pool bar we ate on the ***** every night,only thing they don’t give you in kitchen is a toaster so we just bought pastry’s,made sandwiches for lunch,owners are lovely very helpful,air conditioning cost us €45 for a week,the kostas apar**ents are getting done out for next year,brilliant location for the beach and ***** about 2-5 mins away,would stay here again but think next time would book the paradise for a 1 bedroom apar**ent so we’ve got more space,rooms get cleaned every 2nd day ,we took nappy bags for the used toilet roll so it didn’t smell

The apar**ents itself as as standard, 2 beds nice shower and very clean! Owners of kostas apar**ent's are lovely very friendly. However what made us choose a 3 star review is it's absolute garbage the pool is 'free' next door, both lying their minding out own business and get a gobby youth bar tender come over giving us a piece of paper stating that you have to spend €3 each to use the pool and cursing us in Greek(little did he know we understand it!). It's the principle for me rather than the amount, don't advertise this place as the thedosia pool say to us we can use it for 'free' and then have some gobby bartender come over saying that we have to pay to use it. Clearly not free so please be warned by this, if we wanted to sit round a beautiful pool go to the beach front at sidari and going in the beautiful pools their and order food/drink. We only wanted a quick hour round the pool as we have technically paid this in our apar**ent cost but no we aren't allowed? This needs addesssing by Jet2, onthebeach and the owners of kostas apar**ent's as what is being advertised is not what we are being supplied. It's only a minimal amount but at least €6 for a couple to just sit round a pool meters away from the apar**ent when we have technically paid for this access is bogus.

We stayed here the first two weeks of July. Yes the rooms are basic but they are very clean and we loved it . The beds and towels were changed regularly and the maid was very friendly. Spiros is lovely and nothing was to much trouble at breakfast time. George and the other staff at Paradise restaurant were very friendly and again nothing was to much trouble for them. We had a great two weeks and would certainly go back.

This review is for the 2 bedroom apar**ent- number 14. I can’t speak for any other apar**ent which, for all I know might be nice. Anyway apar**ent 14 should be avoided at all costs. Why? It’s beyond dated and really dirty. Not up to the standard we expect in this day and age. The bathroom, which has no ventilation was horrible. You are not allowed to put paper down the loo, the bathroom cabinet was in awful condition and the shower just had a curtain so the bathroom was flooded each time it was used. In the kitchen the fridge could not be turned up beyond setting 2. There is a notice on the kitchen wall explaining that if you turn it up and it burns out, it’s your responsibility. As a result the fridge did not keep food cool enough when the ambient temperature is over 30 degrees. Also the smoke alarms had no batteries in them. I could go on. I have to say though that the swimming pool areas were very attractive and really clean and the whole complex is really well placed. The personnel are all very pleasant too.

The apar**ents were ok for basic stays few disappointing points the bath rooms was tiny to sit down on the toilet I had to put my feet in the shower to be comfortable, the rooms didn't get cleaned everyday didn't get fresh towels or toilet roll everyday either, I had to asked the reception for them and take them up to the room myself & the cleaner wasn't the best really couldn't really speak English and was very rude! Also while we stayed there was a bad thunderstorm and the marble floor was soaked and my partner fell down the marble stairs and bruised his sides and legs. It took for him to fall and hurt himself that the cleaner then moped and dried that stairs. Other than that the food was nice, the people were friendly and had a really good holiday.

The studios are 3 star and they are more than up to that. The complex as a whole is 5 star two great pools, lovely pool bar. Staff that are 5* plus, evening bar is great located in main reception. Yet to try the tavetna Ideally located for the *****e and all Sidari has to offer.

We have just returned from Kostas apar**ents on the Paradise hotel complex, we have been visiting Sidari for 20 years and have stayed in many different apar**ents and have never had an issue before, basic is fine, but the 2 bedroom apar**ent number 14 we stayed in worse than basic, what little there was didnt work and it was filthy, I had to clean dried up food all over the table when I arrived, the floor was covered in balls of hair, sand and fluff and my feet were so dirty from walking around the apar**ent I had to wear shoes, the fridge cannot be turned up above 2 so whatever I put in it was barely cool. I will be complaining to the holiday company I booked with and asking them to inspect the apar**ents before using them as a package holiday in their name. It really was that bad.
