The room was fine but check in process was unpleasant.
I was outside at concert and will be very late, so my partner went to check in for us but was rejected because booking was not under her name. My partner had no place to go and even proposed various methods to verify the booking. The receptionist rejected, kept on saying cannot due to company policy. My partner wants to speak to manager but was rejected again. So I had to call over and explain the situation and also proposed various methods to verify on the spot but again rejected; kept saying company policy and the only way was I physically check in myself but as I've mentioned many times, I'm unable to leave for check in and I'm not going to let my partner wait there at lobby for several hours!! We never had this issue with others but the receptionist just didn't care. I understand about company policy but there should be case by case assessment, especially when the booking personnel willing to call over, by any means, to verify on the spot!! I hope the hotel will take note on this.
