Manami Resort

I was invited by Honda Philippines as a VIP to attend their Honda Big Bike trip from Dumaguete City to have lunch at this wonderful resort. We had a fantastic buffet for lunch and watched various presentations in a large spacious and bright room, which benefited from excellent air conditioning. The service was also excellent. I would come back here again.

Having explored many of the popular destinations in the Philippines, we were eager to escape the crowds and discover a more peaceful, secluded spot to unwind. Manami Resort is honestly the perfect place if you’re looking to relax, reconnect with nature, and just experience top-notch service. From the second we got there, it felt like we’d found this hidden gem. And as a sweet little touch, they gave us these cute seashell charm bracelets and artisan-made tote bags upon arrival, then you are treated to a complimentary 10 minute massage —it really made us feel at home. The resort's beach was stunning, the white sand stretches out to meet clear, calm, and delightfully warm water. There is a coral nursery where you can spot giant clams, tropical fish and a octopus if your lucky. Our favourite part of the day was sunset happy hour, we worked our way through their selection - the Frozen Mango Mojito was a hit. One thing we really appreciated was that kayaking and snorkelling were included at no extra cost. Spending hours on the water, paddling around and exploring the gorgeous marine life, was an absolute highlight. Speaking of which, we also booked a Fun Dive to a nearby wreck, and it did not disappoint. The wreck, which had sunk on its side, had become a haven for marine life, and the experience was both fascinating and thrilling. Our dive instructor, Mabel, was amazing – she made us feel completely safe while still keeping the adventure exciting. We saw angel fish, bat fish, and various other critters, and since the dive site is relatively new, the fish were incredibly calm and curious. It was also fantastic to learn that the resort has an in-house marine biologist who advises on how to protect and conserve the local marine life and ecosystems. The service at Manami Resort is second to none. Giro, the general manager, made it a point to check in with us during breakfast, offering local Filipino dish recommendations and suggesting activities like cave spelunking in their own Bat Cave. The staff were also incredibly attentive, always there with cold towels and refreshing ice water after a swim. You really feel like every detail has been thought of, and it's clear they genuinely care about your experience. The Linong spa was the pinnacle of relaxation, the signature massage put us on another level of relaxation. We appreciated the attention to detail, from the welcome drink, to the chosing of massage oils to the post massage wine down tea. Lastly, there’s a fun little surprise – the local peacocks! These beautiful birds roam freely around the resort, and they’ll definitely stop you in your tracks with their charm. It's a quirky touch that adds to the overall magic of the place. All in all, Manami Resort is one of those rare places that truly delivers on all fronts – stunning location, outstanding service, fantastic activities, and top-notch food. The resort certainly lived up to the advertised Luxury rating. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The activities included kayaking, snorkeling, cave spelunking, and beautiful pools. The spa area is separated and beautiful at night. The aquatics personnel were marine biologist with designated areas preserved for private ocean life observation. One thing I like in Manami the staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. They provide service to take care of my 92 year old Mom by the time we’re having fun @ the beach. Good beach and sea view from rooms. I love collecting the starfish…Service was fast for any request in our room and staff were well supportive and polite. Food taste was awesome especially the kinilaw. Linong spa was so relaxing.

We originally planned on going to Siquijor for our short vacation last month. However, upon seeing the website of Manami Resort, I immediately changed my mind and decided book a room here instead. I was so enthralled by the pictures of the resort in the website so one can just imagine what I felt when we arrived there. Going to Manami is quite easy - from Manila, guests have to fly to either Dumaguete or Bacolod and endure a 3-1/2 hour van ride to Sipalay City. The resort will arrange the van themselves, and include it in the bill. The resort staff are nice and helpful and whenever we requested for supplies like tissue or water, these would Immediately be delivered to our room. The internet is fast, the rooms are elegantly designed, and the food served by resort’s Lingaw Restaurant is delicious. I availed of almost everything during our 3-day stay - massage, bat cave tour, Sipalay City and island hopping tours. I took a lot of pictures, which showed just how lovely the place is. Indeed, Manami Resort is one of the most beautiful resorts in the Philippines, and I would love to go back there the next chance I get.
