Stunning apar**ent, even better than their pictures. The main bedroom was en suite as well as there being a full bathroom with shower off the living room. The chaise longue was already made up as a bed under the upholstery, so it was easy to convert at bedtime. The length and width is that of a full single bed and the view from it was out onto the balcony and beyond. We had the regular Apar**ent (not “Superior”) so the full kitchen in a cupboard was clever and efficient short term. We didn’t find the kettle but easily heated water with the microwave. The mega- motored juicer was a special treat. Entrance is on the ground floor of a quiet backstreet and the apar**ent is all on one level. The balconies face the port. We’d seen people complain about noise from the bars on another platform. It was relentless and far louder and more intrusive than expected. However, it did stop at dusk, which was 7:30pm on a Sunday in March. Parking was a significant challenge, which isn’t the fault of the establishment, but one which will be encountered anywhere in Ortigia. Our hosts made driving on Ortigia possible, by submitting the registration number of our vehicle on arrival. We found a space in Talet, but every Pay & Display machine was broken. I would therefore urge guests to be ready with Easy Park in order to pay. Parking itself was 15 Euros for 24 hours, plus 2 to use Easy Park. Their commission was the best money I ever spent to make stress go away. Make sure to obtain the free Wifi password during the apar**ent check in process. Wifi in the apar**ent was good, by the way. Our hosts could not have been more helpful, especially in providing advice on our problems physically paying for parking, both before our stay and while it was happening. They were generous and accommodating when we arrived later than anticipated and they allowed us to leave our bags after checkout. Fabulous free breakfast at Condorelli was a pastry of your choice accompanied by freshly squeezed juice and coffee. There were a dozen or so different types of pastries. Don’t miss the oozing Nutella, which doesn’t look like much, but tasted even better than the strawberry cream or pistachio filled ones. This has to be one of the Top 10 Locations for breakfast Worldwide, right on the main square overlooking the Duomo. It was an absolute delight which we never would have thought of, had we not been staying around the corner.

Only a photograph cannot capture all the goodness of this place. Although it is very close to the Duomo square, it is located at the beginning of a residential area, so it is very convenient, but there is very little noise. Especially when you look out the kitchen window, you feel like a resident of Syracuse. Also, the beautiful window views here are never shown in the photos. I really highly recommend it because the well-mannered staff takes care of everything. I would like to visit Syracuse again, and I will definitely stay here.
