I stayed at the Muses for a week. I stayed with my Nan and grandad in a room for 3 and liked it a lot! I’ve been to Skiathos multiple times but this was my second time staying in koukounaries. What was good? The location was very nice and about a 15 minute walk from koukounaries beach. The food was amazing there and had a nice bar there too. The pool was great for kids but is very deep so I would recommend supervision towards the deep end with younger children. The Pool area was great except it was hard to claim sunbeds. What wasn’t good? The room was very nice, but quite basic which isn’t terrible but if your looking for a luxury room this isn’t your place. Our shower door wasn’t great. It didn’t fit the floor and the door wasn’t great, although the other people I stayed with was staying in a different room and they said they’re shower was fine. The pool was good except for the fact that the water made my family’s swimming costumes yellow. The breakfast was okay. Quite basic and as a picky eater I didn’t have much to eat. Altogether I think this is a good place to go with a small family and I hope this review helped 😊

Hotel is in a great location. We were able to walk to 4 beautiful beaches. Very convenient bus service to Skiathos town, every 10 mins, bus stop over the road. Comfortable place to stay, staff very friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. Restaurant at the hotel had a good variety of food and tasted great. We really enjoyed our family holiday.

We have holidayed in Greece loads so fully appreciate the standard of accommodation but this was probably the worst we’ve had for a long time, if it had been cheaper we wouldn’t have minded but the price we paid for the standard was really disappointing. Tired, very little storage for three people in the room, cleaned daily but on occasions when we had the bedding etc changed we had things missing, no pillow cases and had to ask more than once for these things. We holidayed with family and one of their rooms the bed broke one evening and had no lights on the stairwell for night time. Very little choice for food at the pool bar, toast, salad or a club sandwich so we went elsewhere most days. Pool was clean for the first week but then cleaning seemed to stop and the water was murky with bits floating in it. If you like sun then the pool area isn’t for you, there are umbrellas round the sun beds which you physically couldn’t put down so you’re in shade half of your day. The breakfast selection.. the less said about that the better but there is a nice bakery a short walk away. The food at the restaurants around was lovely but there was no where in an evening to sit and eat or drink and look out to sea if that’s what you like, all the food places were on the main road. We also found it one of the more expensive islands we’ve been too. First time in skiathos and wouldn’t rush back, certainly not to Muses.

Stayed here for 9 days all in all hotel is ok breakfast is included a fair choice for continental fare could do with a toaster , pool is deceptive and cleverly photographed small shallow end and very deep the other end only for adults ,there is a kids pool but guests ignore the adult only policy ,sun beds are limited so the normal Brit get down early to bag a bed .didn’t use the restaurant that is attached to hotel found prices a bit dear . Plenty of restaurants to find in the surrounding village bus stops are a plenty and 3 euros to Skiathos town a must visit Very busy beach and 15 euros for beds and umbrella All in all not sure I would go back

We have just returned from a week here (August 2023) we traveled via jet 2 and this hotel is rated as 3 stars, there is no way this is a 3 star hotel it's 2 star at best. The first room we were given was disgusting very run down, the fridge was covered in black mould. The bed looked like it was about to collapse the decor was tired to say the least,the room type we were given originally was not what we paid for. We were then given another room, this was marginally better the beds were so hard I needed pain killers to get me through the night, the bathroom light switch was stuck on with masking tape. The breakfast was really poor, orange juice was like flat Fanta choice of food and quality was really poor. The pool is OK but smaller than it looks online and there is not enough beds for everyone, so sunbeds all have towels on by 8.30. The pictures on the Jet2 site are very cleverly taken or really old, either way they don't accurately reflect the hotel condition. The one good thing was that the room was cleaned daily and to a good standard. Also A/C is 50 euro a week, you also have to pay extra to switch the fridge on.

Spent 11 nights here, though the staff were really friendly, the hotel is very low key and much in need of refurbishment. Some rooms have been updated but ours was very tired, old shower room with trickling water from the sink taps, had to have Luke warm showers, even cold showers on occasion due to no hot water supply. The bedroom furniture is old and basic and the mattresses are hard. The room however was a good size. Breakfast was a poor quality offering so we went to the supermarket and bought croissants and pastries instead. The pool area is good and the bar and staff are good but lunchtime snacks are very limited. We paid £2995 for three of us. I think a fair price would have been half that, plus we paid nearly 150euros for air con, fridge, safe and tax. On the plus side there is a great bus service into town. They run every 10 mins from 6.15 - 01.45 and koukounaries beach is a short walk away. If you are lucky enough to get an updated room then you will probably enjoy your holiday but they shouldn’t be charging full price for the older rooms. Needless to say we won’t be returning.

I have just come back from this beautiful hotel, If you want greek old style, like the good old days, with all Greek Staff , this is the place, I am single but that was not a problem, go here, the staff were amazing, would do anything for you, you get a good morning from all staff, they even joined in when I dance the Zorba twice ha ha ,the room great clean tidy, beds were changed every other day the bed was fine no problem for me ?, cleaned everyday, paid for air con, and fridge, but really did not need air con as rooms fairly cool, might be different get sun all day but mine was great, balcony, what more do want ? beds no fighting for beds, people only put towels on when using, well one couple did not English showed us up, anyway, plenty beds, very quiet hotel when I was there, lovely, want it busy go to the local beach it was banging, if want quieter over hill 2 others, bus into main town 2-3 euros depending which bus get one way, eat at tavern on site few time great greek food amazing, there are other tavernas in walking distance, tried 2 not same standard as hotel, but there's more that 2, Just to say going back hopefully may, go try be greek, elpeezona thaeethela tho seendoma andeeo yashho efcharisto Gary

What can I say hotel muses made our family holiday a very special experience. I come with my older children and two younger children and husband. The food was amazing pool fantastic staff were so friendly efficient kind and really helpful . The book library is a great idea I haven’t read for over 15 years but found myself a good book and read while I was there . Thank you hotel muses and staff xx

A really nice hotel with such friendly hard work staff!They are all so helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble.The rooms are spotless also the public areas.Great location near Koukanaris beach.We will definitely return.Thank you all.
