El Dorado Maroma A Spa Resort - More Inclusive

I visited the El Dorado Maroma with my friend for a week in January 2023. Believe me, this is the best resort ever! I have stayed at many all-inclusive resorts in the Cancun/Riviera Maya area, and this resort outranks all others! The service is simply amazing, from the second you arrive until you have to leave. We absolutely loved Manuel at the beach, who greeted us each morning and walked out with us to help us find the perfect spot for the day. He didn’t just hand us our towels - he laid them out for us on the loungers or the bali bed chosen, then adjusted the umbrella so we could be in the shade, as we preferred. He then continued checking on us throughout the day and adjusting our umbrella as the sun moved. Talk about being pampered! He was wonderful! We also loved Little D (Diego) at the beach, who brought us drinks and made us smile - he seems so happy to be there! I can’t forget to mention the beach - it is the best beach of any resort I have stayed at! Clean, white sand, and so few people. That’s another great thing about this resort - no crowds!! It is small, quiet and relaxing. So peaceful! If you want a party resort, this is not it. It was perfect for us! Overall, you will not be sorry if you choose this resort!!! We loved it and will return again, hopefully soon, and hopefully with my hubby next time! I can’t wait to hear those wonderful friends tell me “Welcome Home”!

We have been to Riviera/Maya Cancun over 20 times; The Dorado Maroma stands out as the sole hotel we have chosen for three separate occasions, all within the past four years. Despite being aware of the pros and cons, we decided to give it another chance, and we are pleased to say that it has exceeded our expectations once again. Although we knew that the rooms in the main building were starting to show signs of wear and tear and lacked an elevator, this time we were pleasantly surprised to be assigned a room in Villa 12 with an elevator and a stunning ocean view. One of the highlights of Dorado Maroma is the peaceful a**osphere. Whether at the main pool or the beach area, it never feels crowded, even when it's full. The best part, however, is the exceptional staff. We had a fantastic experience with Patricia, the hostess at Lima Limon. She always greeted us with a smile and was incredibly helpful and friendly. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch at Lima Limon, sitting on the outside patio, overlooking the ocean. The chef even accommodated my request for chilaquiles every morning, even though it wasn't on the menu. For lunch, we indulged in delicious seafood dishes, which were consistently excellent. For dinner, we tried the Caribbean, Mexican, Asian, and Peruvian options; some people may complain about the limited dining choices, but for us, it was more than sufficient. The drinks at the main pool, served by Fernando, were also a highlight. We had great conversations with him while enjoying the wide selection of alcohol and various beer options. Overall, we have no complaints, and we already miss Dorado Maroma. We hope to visit for a fourth time in the near future.

The property was beautiful. The room is very comfortable and nice and cool. Air-conditioning worked great & loved the room had a ceiling fan as well. The pool area was very nice, but the beach was spectacular very comfortable and the service was great! Breakfast was delicious, lunch was good and dinners were OK. Drinks were all very good. We would definitely stay at this property again and would recommend it.

Currently staying in this "5 star" property and our room is a mess. When we checked in it was not clean, our phone didn't work, tv didn't work, and our furniture appears to have been destroyed in a flood but is still in the room. Our light fixture has dirt all over it and we wouldn't consider sitting on the dirty furniture in the living room area. Service has been terrible when we checked in and asked for a different room. We have not been able to eat our meals at restaurants, which I don't think has ever happened to us before, and room service is mediocre at best. Don't stay here.

Absolutely amazing and beautiful 🥰. It’s always been my dream vacation to stay in an overwater bungalow and Palafitos did not disappoint. The beach was immaculate. The food was amazing. Our butlers, Fernando and William were incredible. Anything you wanted they would get for you within minutes 😊. The bungalows were incredible ❤️ I will definitely plan to come back again someday 😎

We visited El Dorado on the 15th April for 10 days and WOW, where do I begin?! The hotel itself is just beautiful, so picturesque and perfect. Small enough to be to get around but big enough you have your own space. The food, is incredible, the fact we got to choose what we wanted every single day, and it wasn’t a buffet was amazing. Mio was our favourite restaurant by far 🤤 THE BEACH - hands down the best beach I’ve ever been to. Barely any sea****, the staff work all morning clearing it, none stop. Fantastic. The white sand and blue sea, is breathtaking. One of the main reasons we will be back. Finally, the reason this hotel is amazing as it is, is because of the staff. The most accommodating, friendly and best staff we have ever had. I could name loads, but people who stood out to us were… Marco - he has the smoothie and healthy van near the beach bar, and he was incredible. He gave us so many ideas on trips to do, he made the best smoothies and never failed to talk to us or smile at us. He is an asset to the hotel, and so is the smoothie area!! Other restaurant / bars staff that stood out were… Leobardo at the beach bar Jesus mio restaurant Manuel on the beach Also entertainment staff are the best ever, big shout out too, Octavio, Alexander, hazael, Charlie, Alfredo, Chris. They did volleyball with us every day, and never stopped! Deffo a highlight of our holiday. I could go on forever, but honestly one of the most amazing holidays we’ve ever had and without a doubt we will be back. Robbie and Kate from England! X

We stayed at El Dorado Maroma for two weeks for our honeymoon in March 2024 and had an amazing time. All the staff here is incredibly friendly and attentive. We especially liked the entertainment put on by Octavio’s team: Alexander, Carlos, Christopher & Hazael. You could never get bored! Special thanks to Diego (Bar 24 & Papitos bar) who was the best bartender! We also enjoyed the healthy smoothies by Marco by the main pool. In terms of restaurants, all are lovely and would suit many tastes. Our personal favourite was Lima Lìmon for both food and service. Patricia and team go above and beyond for breakfast time. Julian Moreno was our favourite waiter, very friendly and helpful. Facilities wise, the beach is immaculate, with staff raking the sand and clearing the sea**** regularly. No molten hot sand here! The main pool and bar 24 pool are well kept with swim up bars. Our only “gripe” is that the other pool by some of the swim ups would benefit from bar service and more sun beds. It’s a lovely large pool but we didn’t use it often as you have to go into the main area for drinks, further than you think! All in all, an unforgettable stay and we hope to visit again!

Just returned from this Fabulous Beach resort. This resort is much smaller/personal than El Dorado Royale. I like the personal touch -- but missed the extra food/restaurant options. Beach was fantastic -- large area with softest sand imaginable. Bali beds available -- if you reserved it early enough. We did the Maroma Catamaran/Snorkeling tour -- and had a great time! Some Shout-Outs: Augustin: Manager at Papito's. He remembers you and has the friendliest personality. Enjoyed the Tequila Tasting/Education experience with him Manuel: Beach Service. This man doesn't know how to walk. He is always running to bring the best service Karen: Beach Drinks Service -- always available and quick. She kept coming all day! Marbel: Butler -- she was on top of it and addressed every need. David: Concierge -- very responsive. Ezequiel, Randy & Eric: Great service at Pappito's Cleo: Room Cleaning -- room was in great condition THANK YOU!

In my view our was not ready or checked , a number of issues outlined to the management,which they finally addressed and resolved after 2 days. Which the general manager finally resolved after various managers representatives failed to resolve. Once the manager had a clear direction it was sort with a spectacular upgrade. General comments Beach fabulous Main Pool cool in the morning but better in afternoon sun Facilities very good Restaurants, best being the Caribbean and the Italian Service excellent Would I stay again, yes Negative is the under utilised Ricky's bar, could do much more with this space
