Stopped here on our way back to Scotland from a London business trip , fantastic dinner and excellent service from Andy and his team on our way back north to Scotland, steak was excellent and service first class will definitely stop off here again when looking for an overnight. The accommodation was very dated and very disappointing.The smell and standard were awful to say the least. Noise from the bar was very loud and eventually when it did quiet down the visitors next door stumbled up the stairs and banged into our door then proceed to let us hear them throw up several times for about half n hour at about 12.30am. When we came down for breakfast, service was very slow just one person eventually apeared the couple we presume were our neighbours, the man then decided to start wrenching over his breakfast!!! We did at this point leave. We will not be returning. Sent from my Galaxy

What can I say !! Beautiful homemade food clean room great a**osphere in the bar,locals very welcoming. Would recommend 100%. I will be revisiting with my family. You won’t be, disappointed this is a family run very welcoming place.

I stayed here in Room 2 for 4 nights. After seeing previous reviews I was anxious however I was extremely happy with the room I was given. The room was clean, and towels were changed on day 2. Large variety of tea and coffee in the room. The room came with decent amenities (hairdryer, fan, shampoo, body wash and soap). The service was wonderful in the restaurant and the pies were exceptional. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

I would like to point out that this property is not in Grantham but in South Witham, Grantham. This makes a great deal of difference and took us much longer to find and right out of our way. I suggest you correct this. The address given by you takes you to different part of the area and is confusing. So please correct it and add South Witham to the full address.

We stayed at the Blue Cow for a wkend break. The price was good and the people running the place are lovely and unfortunately that's where the good stuff ends. Our room was poorly and ameteurly decorated, and whilst the bedding seemed clean, everything else looked just a little bit grubby. The bathroom was also lacking and the shower just about emitted a trickle of water. Because of the staff I'd consider staying again but only following a good refurb. Also pay in full before you stay, I imagine because once you've seen the room people would possibly walk away. Think twice before booking

Working away from home and the staff made me very welcome, Beautiful country location, comfortable room, very good home made food,and the different beers are great,highly recommend will definitely book for my next business trip.

Absolutely the worse hotel I have stayed in. The pub was OK. But we wasn't there for the pub. The closest thing I can call it is polishing a turd. As in mould on the wall with wallpaper over it and then painted. Broken tv bracket, no pillow, mould, don't no what they call a single duvet but that wasn't it and it was freezing

Myself and partner stayed here on 04/06/22. Came down to South Witham to visit family upon arrival we were told that the previous guest had 'punched a hole in the wall' so we had £15 knocked off our bill, it was £90 but got it for £75. We were in room 4 one of the outside rooms up the metal stairs. The door to the room is on its last legs, wouldn't like to think how many coats of paint it's had! It was falling to bits! The room was very basic you need glasses to watch the TV when lying in bed it's that small! Sheets were clean. The wall by the stairs leading down to bathroom had coffee or some sort of liquid down it looks like it had been there a while! The sink in bathroom had someone's short hairs in it! Looks like someone had been having a shave. The mirror in bathroom had not been cleaned still had the spray of someone brushing there teeth 🤢. All in all the room could do with a revamp! It was very dated and shabby. The next morning on our departure we handed keys back in at the bar. There was a women with short hair sitting at one of the tables , we said that we wanted to hand keys back she told us just to leave them on bar, she said thanks, that was it, there was no 'how was your stay, I hope everything was OK for you' nothing! So we just left! I would not stay here again and its definitely not worth £90 a night to stay in a hovel.
