Sugar Tree Inn

This trip was planned very last minute. Needed somewhere that didn't involve crowds and noise. Couldn't have picked a better place. Kevin and Brenda were great hosts. Our room was in the main lodge. They had board games, snacks & beverages in a little kitchen area for the guests. Rocking chairs on a long front porch to watch the hummingbirds at the feeders. No TVs or internet but great cellphone service. Breakfast was wonderful! The most relaxing weekend I have had in a long time. Looking forward to going back.

Wonderful, secluded place for getting away for awhile. We stayed in the two bedroom Shenandoah Suite and loved it. Very comfortable and cozy. The owners were extremely nice and the food (breakfast and dinner) was great! No TV, no Wi-Fi (cell service is available) but that’s just part of the charm. Definitely recommended. Hope to come again!

The Inn is a wonderful place. The rustic mountain cabin feels like it has been there for 200 years. The hosts are really accommodating. The food is great and plentiful. I highly recommend if you want a real mountain experience. Also the driveway isn't that bad but it is part of the whole experience and you know you no longer in the valley!

very special stay in the Blue Ridge. Don’t miss this off the beaten track mountain experience. The inn is made from 200 yr old timbered pine, so authentic. A marvelous stone fireplace. Excellent hosts, great breakfast. Big comfortable bedrooms. Just what you want for a Virginia country stay. Highly recommend!

The is a beautiful, rustic log cabin type inn that provides breakfast and dinner. They also offer wine by the bottle, and a variety of alcohol for you to purchase. Our room had a king size bed and fireplace, but note there is no TV. We were able to watch TV on our phone though. This is a very nice romantic place to spend time at... if you can get to it. The driveway is no joke. We had a 4x4 truck and some of the inclines were so steep we were spinning out tires. I do not recommend anyone without a truck or suv to attempt this driveway. It's not for the faint of heart. That is the only downside we found.
