Heritage Hotel 19

Heritage Hotel 19 was wonderful! This is a small hotel just back a bit and up a very short walking hill from the main waterfront promenade. You walk through a gate and enter the small lobby and receive a very personal greeting. Our room was beautifully decorated with a small deck overlooking the walking street just below. Breakfast was excellent and served with a personal touch. It was a great stay for us and would be an excellent choice for your visit to Split!

Lovely little boutique hotel. Perfect location with easy access to nice restaurants and the old town & port. Lovely & quiet room. We had room 5 which had a small balcony. The only negative would be the room is dark and the bathroom is tiny but it was perfect for what we needed. The young lady on reception in the afternoon/evening is a credit to the hotel, she was really helpful with booking boat tours, and helping with ferry times and restaurants suggestions. The breakfast was also really good, I had the healthy bowl every day and my partner had the hot breakfast.

The hotel is small but really cute! The street it is on is a pedestrian only street, so there is not a lot of noise from cars. You enter into an open area where they serve breakfast. All the staff was friendly and very kind; always wanting to do the best for the guests. We were impressed by the variety of the breakfast. We expected it to be a buffet-type of breakfast but it was actually a carte menu and we could order whatever we wanted from that. Everything was delicious and they always went above and beyond our expectations. For Easter they even gave us some extra sweetness – super cute! There are a couple of rooms on the ground floor, including ours (room #1). The room itself was quite big and comfortable with a big bed, and a fancy walk-in shower that I still dream about. I felt like it had the perfect balance between classy and modern, old and new. This hotel is perfect for couples. No complaints! Perhaps my only constructive criticism would be that the closet was too small, but it was not a big deal at all.

We wanted a very comfortable boutique hotel in a quiet location yet convenient for the Old Town. We had high expectations of this hotel and they were met in every respect. Our room was spacious, well equipped and had a balcony. The staff were all friendly, efficient and ready to help with any recommendations. Breakfast in the outdoor terrace was a great way to start the day. We would highly recommend staying here.

During my research for our trip to Split, I ruled out a lot of hotels, (despite good reviews), because of two issues important to my wife and I. First, taxi access into the old town is either difficult or impossible and we don’t like wheeling suitcases through narrow, ancient streets full of fellow tourists. Second, there were possible noise issues. We like taking a relaxing snooze after lunch - having a busy bar under your window could be a problem. However, thanks to TA we spotted Heritage Hotel 19 and it seemed to fit the bill - which it did admirably. Saying that, taxi's can't navigate the street on which the hotel is located but you are dropped off only a few steps away. The location is excellent. Close enough to all of Split's many amenities but far enough away to still be quiet. A few steps uphill is the excellent Bamba Terrace bar and at the bottom, what seemed to be Split's number one place to eat - Buffet Fife. We didn’t eat there because there always seemed to be a fairly substantial queue of potential customers. The hotel is on the road which is the start of the walk up to Marjan and those wonderful views of the city. If the location was good, the hotel itself was even better. Charismatic but modern, with our room, (#5), having every convenience you could wish for. The quality of the fixtures and fittings was impressive and in a week of thirty degrees plus temperatures - excellent aircon. I must mention the superb wifi. Not only fast but didn’t have the annoying requirement to re-enter a password every day. Let’s be clear, if you are looking for the kind of hotel that has a pool, spa, restaurant with pretensions and a loyalty scheme - it may not be for you. If you are looking for a charismatic “boutique” hotel with charm to spare - Heritage Hotel 19 will take some beating. If the room was impressive - it was the staff who stole the show. Paula, Maria and Anna-Maria (sorry if I spelled your names incorrectly) were rays of sunshine each day. No question went unanswered and their service at breakfast was superb. Speaking of breakfast, here's another plus point in favour of the hotel. The morning menu had something for everyone. My wife had the healthy muesli and fruit option almost every morning. My choices ranged from a simple croissant, to the delicious Dalmatian breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, etc. All taken below a beautiful olive tree in the warm morning sunshine. Finally, there was only one point that could count against the hotel. It is a small boutique hotel after all and therefore has no elevator. The few stairs to our room presented no problems for two 70 year old guests but if you have mobility issues, there are two ground floor rooms you could opt for. I doubt we could have picked a better hotel for our week in the beautiful city of Split and cannot recommend Heritage Hotel 19 highly enough.

The staff at the hotel were delightful and could not have been more helpful. The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are lovely. We could not have been happier with our choice of hotel.

This charming boutique hotel exceeded our expectations. We stayed on the ground floor off the courtyard in room #2, and it was comfortable and classy. The shower alone was exceptional and soothing after a long day exploring Split. The hotel is situated close to many sites and restaurants, but is on a quiet street. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast was also very good with several options available. Do consider staying here, you won’t be disappointed. Stayed here for my partners 50th, loved the hotel, found the staff very friendly and helpful, from the driver who met us at the airport to the front of house team, couldn’t have asked for more from them. Room was decorated with balloons and banners when we arrived as requested, on the morning of my partners birthday they brought out cakes for us which was a nice touch for my partner- can’t beat breakfast cake! Front of house team made some lovely recommendations for places to visit/eat/drink. Room was very quiet so made for a nice relaxing sleep. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend as a place to stay.

Lovely historic boutique hotel peacefully situated. Excellent choice of fresh delicious breakfasts served in the court yard. Large comfortable rooms with great bathrooms. A tranquil haven away from the busy part of Split. Helpful,polite staff.
