Paloma Garden Hotel

To start with the positive things: our room was clean, we had two sleeping rooms with four beds in total. Thats it. AC, safe: costs extra. We were told that parking on their property also costs extra. The room has a small TV, a fridge and two beds. Nö desk, nö chairs to sit on. The shower was missing a lass door, so almost the whole room was under water after taking a shower. The breakfast was horrible. Everyday the same bread, cold cuts. Loveless presented. Worst thing was the coffee.... The dinner was sometime okay, but also presented without any passion or love. Drinks are very expensive, can get them cheaper in the bars nearby. Can not recommend, even not in regards to the good price.

Right…the hotel itself it is nice, it has beautiful gardens, the buildings have traditional characteristics but….what a bad management… staff need to learn how to make people feel welcomed, the front house is special needs and to be honest he is doing his job but the restaurant, the bar staff, not at all nice, from the first evening the chef was shouting at my son over spilled food which was not spilled by my son! Tried to explain but I think they did not speak English.. then, another big minus is they charge you for everything! You pay for meals with your holiday but then you have to pay on top for drinks that are not cheap at all…pay for air con too..anyway… food was basic, very basic, you will not starve but is not delicious at all, same things all over…son found bones in his bolognaise sauce… cleanness…well, the system is they change your towels every 3 days although I asked for towels the second day and they provided, don’t think they changed linen, maybe once…because the front of house has some communication problems we did not understand everything from them…v bad communication and tbh we did not felt welcomed at all…not friendly…I would avoid it. Beach is very nice and v close and we ended up eating out, local tavernas are very good and affordable. Overall we had a great holiday but not a nice stay at this hotel, the travel agent solded us the holiday advertising this hotel as 3 stars but I don’t think it has 3 stars.. swimming pool v small and closes at 7…not nice

Hôtel simple et très propre (mais pas de ménage le dimanche). Chambre spacieuse avec balcon. Belle piscine à débordement. Proche plages et commerces mais calme car en retrait de la route. Un plus appréciable location de voiture sur place.

Parto subito dicendo una cosa: Creta non ci ha fatto una splendida impressione appena scesi in aeroporto (volo andata e ritorno da bergamo per heraklion operato da Aegean Airlines, compagnia perfetta ed affidabile, puntualità e servizio a bordo difficile da trovare su un charter) e questa sensazione ce la siamo portata avanti per tutta la vacanza quindi magari il giudizio negativo è dato anche da quello. Ma partiamo per gradi. POSIZIONE: La posizione si è rivelata strategica, non esattamente sul mare ma con una camminata di una decina di minuti si arriva alla spiaggia di stalis che secondo noi è quella più bella della zona (da heraklion a Malia, Potamos). Spiaggie attrezzate e mare limpido e cristallino. STRUTTURA: La struttura di per se è anche buona, hotel formato da diverse minipalazzine che "ruotano" intorno ad una piscina discreta e piuttosto grande, con lettini disponibili ed un bel giardinetto a fare da cornice. La pulizia generale è buona anche se l'accoglienza non è stata delle migliori. All'arrivo vi accoglie un ragazzo (presumibilmente figlio dei proprietari) disabile con difficoltà visive e motorie che di primo impatto non fa una buona impressione. Il ragazzo è disponibile e da tutte le info però di prima accoglienza avrei preferito una persona più spigliata (con questo non vogliamo dire che i disabili non debbano lavorare anzi, siamo ben felici di condividere con loro, ma magari avrei riservato a lui una mansione di accoglienza ma non di reception). Disponibile anche biliardo, ping pong. Peccato per la bella piscina con vicino idromassaggio che hanno coperto, dava proprio sulla vista mare. CAMERE: Eravamo consapevoli di andare in un hotel discreto quindi eravamo preparati. La camera si è comunque rivelata buona, con un bel terrazzo e il minino indispensabile per una vita di mare (bagno cieco ma con ventola) no tv no aria condizionata no frigobar (questi ultimi a pagamento caro e salato) ma non ce ne importava nulla, abbiamo sempre dormito bene e non abbiamo mai avuto necessità della tv. Pulizia buona ma salviette cambiate di rado. CIBO: Dio ce ne scampi!!!!!!!!!!!! La caritas offre pasti più decenti! Abbiamo "mangiato" solo la prima sera in questo posto poi abbiamo deciso di provare a mangiare fuori e magia, appena messo piede fuori dall'hotel è tutto buonissimo! Mangiare adatto a clientela straniera abituata a mangiare schifezze (inglesi, cechi, russi). Pochissima scelta e di scarsissima qualità, sia a cena che a colazione. Non esiste nutella o una brioche. Se potete e non trovate altro fate un solo pernottamento e mangiate fuori che si mangia divinamente! Il mio consiglio è di evitarlo. Se proprio non potete farne a meno, provate a chiedere la possibilità del solo pernottamento.

Ich kann diese Bewertungen hier nicht verstehen. Das "Hotel" ist mehr eine Pension vom Flair her. Die Zimmer sind minimal ausgestattet. Klimaanlage, Kühlschrank und Safe kosten extra. Alles zusammen ca 15€ pro Tag. Total übertrieben. Duschen sind ok, nur schwimmt danach das halbe Bad. Die Putzfrauen machen allerdings ein super Job. Ja es ist anscheinend Familien geführt, allerdings bekommt keiner hier ein Lächeln über seine Lippen und man wird auf Schritt und Tritt beobachtet. Meist sitzt die Familie an einem Tisch neben der Bar und schaut einen immer grimmig an. Alles wirkt sehr lieblos und genervt. Für Kinder auf jeden Fall nicht zu empfehlen. Keine Spielmöglichkeiten, kaputte kinderbetten und nur eine Sitzerhöhung gibt es. Diese muss man auch selbst reinigen, denn darum kümmert sich niemand. Das Essen ist frühs sehr spärlich und immer dasselbe, abends geht es, allerdings fehlt überall Salz und es gibt immer das Essen vom Vortag in einer neuen Variante bis es alle ist. Dann geht das Menü nach 3-4 Tagen von vorne los. Ach und man muss als Gast seinen Tisch selbst abräumen und beim Buffet bekommt man ein gewisses McDonald Flair. Der Pool ist schön groß und dahinter ist eine Wiese, dort lagen wir auf unserer Decke, allerdings sind mitgebrachte Speisen und Getränke verboten. Also alles in allem kann ich persönlich dieses Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen, wenn es sehr günstig wäre ok, aber der Preis ist schon etwas sehr teuer für diese Art der Unterkunft. Auch andere Gäste waren sehr genervt von allem und vorallem von den Familienmitgliedern die dieses "Hotel" führen. Ach und der Knaller war unser Sohn hat am Abend der Ankunft brechen müssen, leider auf die Terrasse neben der Bar. Wir haben sofort darauf hingewiesen und sind aufs Zimmer mit ihm. Am nächsten Morgen war es immer noch da. Ich denke das sagt einiges aus.

Het was een sober maar schoon en net hotel. Heerlijk bed. Het eten vonden wij prima , Grieks/Europees maar niet veel keuze. Ontbijt was wat karig maar voldoende. Echt een Grieks hotel wat gerund wordt door een familie. Bij het hotel weinig muziek of gezelligheid.
