"here for Macau Tower Race and I was here in Macau alone for the first time. There are plenty of walking to do after alighting from the bus. It was not easy to locate and need the help of local to bring me to the actual premise. There are three hotel of this properties all in the same area so need to be very careful for future booking"

"Enjoyed my stay at Caravel Hotel. Direct bus from Airport. 3min walk from bus stop to hotel. Staff was very friendly, allowed early check-in. 500MOP deposit was collected at check-in, which was promptly refunded a day after check-out. 5min walk to shopping streets which are connected to Ruins of St Paul. Very accessible and convenient, plenty of food options. Room size is sufficient for solo guest. Cleanliness and ammenities were satisfactory. Would stay again."

"We had a good stay. It was extremely difficult to find the location, name of hotel is not in English so it didn’t exist Apple Maps. Name of hotel at the entrance is also in Chinese and little print in English. It was not convenient for us.
Few things need to be improved."

"The room was really spacious and good for a family. The view was good, the rooms are clean. The location is really good and very easy to get taxis and transportation. The only downside is it only has 1 bathroom but everything else has been exceptional."

"location is rather prime, just about 6 mins walk from senado square. however, daily housekeeping is not the best. they clear your trash but do not make and change the bedsheets. beds are very tough as well. hairdryer is very old, appears to be from few years back and room flooring is quite dirty. ok for a quick stay but will not be back"

MMisafir KullanıcıThe hotel is a walking distance from Senado Square and the Grand Lisboa Hotel is just down the road. The area around the Macao tower can be reached on foot, too. There are a few bus stops just around the corner. There is a 24h/7 supermarket just by it. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is an air-purifier machine in the room, mini fridge, kettle, complimentary bottles of water, toiletries, my kids liked the body wash provided. It was a pleasant stay.

It’s as close as it can be to the historical center, very clean, spacious and most importantly cozy room (other hotels had cold tiles instead of nice carpet). I want to say that the receptionist at night (Unfortunately I didn’t write his name down) was extremely helpful and KIND. He not only answered my questions, but even told me about history of the city, gave me advice how to experience food and drinks on a budget, even encouraged me in my dreams to study at HKU. I was sorry he wasn’t at the reception when I came back from my night walk anymore. If his boss is reading this, give this man a raise, he is doing great job. When I come to Macao again, I will, without doubt, choose this nice boutique hotel and I will recommend it to all my friends. The pic is a screenshot from video, so it looks shaky. Room was very cozy.

However, the check-in experience was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING.
========== (TL;DR) Imagine you had to experience this after a 4 hours flight ==========
The young female receptionist I encountered on arrival handled things very poorly. She kept insisting she couldn’t find my booking, smiling the entire time as if it were a joke. Instead of checking properly herself, she kept handing me random printed bookings, one after another, asking me if any of them were mine. It honestly felt like I was doing her job.
If the names were even slightly similar to mine, I would understand. But she passed me almost every booking she had in her hands, including ones with clearly Japanese or ********* names that were nowhere close to mine. I even asked her, “So does that mean I’m supposed to sleep on the streets tonight?” Yet she still giggled, with zero sense of apology or urgency. It made me wonder if she had ever been trained in basic customer service or professional ethics.
Eventually, she finally handed me the correct booking with my name. But even then, after I confirmed it was mine, she said, “I gave you this earlier and you said it wasn’t yours.”
Like… excuse me? You’ve been passing me completely unrelated bookings the whole time?!
I initially wanted to rate the service 1 star, but I added one more because the hotel cleaner left a good impression, the cleaner auntie was polite and attentive.

Facilities:
The TV in my room was broken, so I’m guessing it was just for decoration. Ventilation also seemed poorly designed. Despite booking a non-smoking room, I was woken up early in the morning by cigarette smoke seeping in from outside my door. Not recommended for light sleepers either, as the soundproofing is weak. I could clearly hear people talking outside, though I’m not sure if they were in the corridor or inside another room.

Zzlah.dejourneyThe hotel is conveniently located near many popular sightseeing spots, including Senado Square, the Ruins of St. Paul’s, Macau Cathedral, St. Dominic’s Church, and the Museum of Macau, all within easy walking distance. However, it is situated on a sloping uphill street, so taking a bus with luggage can be difficult, and taxis rarely pass by the hotel. You need to walk down the hill to the roadside to catch a cab. The front desk staff were helpful when we asked for assistance in booking a taxi, but getting one was not easy. In the end, we had to carry our luggage down the hill and walk through several streets to catch a cab.
The room is quite spacious, but a bit dated, and the window lock was broken.

The reception is welcoming and they soeak good English.
There is no heating but you can get an electric heater fan from the reception.

SStef94Clean room and nice staff. The check-in procedure was easy and they provide free water for all guests, which is nice. The hotel is in a pretty good area, close to tourist spots, but also on a quiet street. So I was able to sleep very good. Toilet is clean, doesn’t smell, and the water has pressure and is very hot. This hotel also provide power adaptor for EU and others.

CChocoBananaRamaWe found this hotel to be very convenient and all basic amenities are complete. It was also very clean and the room did not have any smoke smell. Initially we were a bit wary as we arrived late at 11pm, and there were a few loud guys in the lobby that looked a bit drunk, but that was just a one-time occurrence and the next day was fine. Deposit of 100HKD required upon check-in. The hotel even gave us a small souvenir, how lovely! Staff was very professional & quick to issue our room key. Water heater doesn't feel hot enough at night and may need to wait for some time before the water gets warmer but no issues for us. There is no fridge in the room. Elevator is small but fits most mid size luggage nicely. Saw some reviews commenting the beds were hard but we found the bed to be quite comfortable.
Location was excellent and very near to restaurants, places of interest, minimart, bus stops. We took bus 3,3X from Gongbei customs side and stopped near the hotel. Going to Macau Airport was also super convenient- just at the street across the hotel at Kam Pek Community Center, many busses available to take us to Barra LRT and then to Airport. It was also easy to walk to other hotels which provided free shuttle to Cotai areas.
We had such a wonderful time in Macau and at a hotel that is very value for money! ❤️
