"We had a good stay. It was extremely difficult to find the location, name of hotel is not in English so it didn’t exist Apple Maps. Name of hotel at the entrance is also in Chinese and little print in English. It was not convenient for us. Few things need to be improved."

"Makao pahalı bir yer, bu yüzden konumuyla bu otel kaçırılmayacak bir fırsattı. Temizlik ise... Televizyonda küçük bir hamamböceği buldum, bu da devam eden bir istila olduğu anlamına geliyor. İğrenç. Tuvalet kağıdı da duvara yapıştırılmış kilitli bir kutudaydı ve bitti, kimse de değiştirmedi. Giriş yaparken 500¥ depozito ödettiler, bunu aklınızda bulundurun. Geç çıkış yapmama izin verdiler ve bunun için benden ücret almadılar, bu harika bir şeydi."

"The hotel is very easy to find. It is by the road and near bus stations. However during my stay the wifi was horrible and it was very annoying. The staff tried their best. I'm sure they've fixed the issue by now."

"This is the perfect hotel for non-casino travelers like me. It’s as close as it can be to the historical center, very clean, spacious and most importantly cozy room (other hotels had cold tiles instead of nice carpet). I want to say that the receptionist at night (Unfortunately I didn’t write his name down) was extremely helpful and KIND. He not only answered my questions, but even told me about history of the city, gave me advice how to experience food and drinks on a budget, even encouraged me in my dreams to study at HKU. I was sorry he wasn’t at the reception when I came back from my night walk anymore. If his boss is reading this, give this man a raise, he is doing great job. When I come to Macao again, I will, without doubt, choose this nice boutique hotel and I will recommend it to all my friends. The pic is a screenshot from video, so it looks shaky. Room was very cozy."

"Clean room and nice staff. The check-in procedure was easy and they provide free water for all guests, which is nice. The hotel is in a pretty good area, close to tourist spots, but also on a quiet street. So I was able to sleep very good. Toilet is clean, doesn’t smell, and the water has pressure and is very hot. This hotel also provide power adaptor for EU and others."

"Enjoyed my stay at Caravel Hotel. Direct bus from Airport. 3min walk from bus stop to hotel. Staff was very friendly, allowed early check-in. 500MOP deposit was collected at check-in, which was promptly refunded a day after check-out. 5min walk to shopping streets which are connected to Ruins of St Paul. Very accessible and convenient, plenty of food options. Room size is sufficient for solo guest. Cleanliness and ammenities were satisfactory. Would stay again."

"The hotel is a walking distance from Senado Square and the Grand Lisboa Hotel is just down the road. The area around the Macao tower can be reached on foot, too. There are a few bus stops just around the corner. There is a 24h/7 supermarket just by it. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is an air-purifier machine in the room, mini fridge, kettle, complimentary bottles of water, toiletries, my kids liked the body wash provided. It was a pleasant stay."

"Hotel is in a perfect location, with less than a 10 minute walk from the ruins of St Paul’s and Sandero square. Staff friendly when needed and the room was perfect size as advertised!"

"location is rather prime, just about 6 mins walk from senado square. however, daily housekeeping is not the best. they clear your trash but do not make and change the bedsheets. beds are very tough as well. hairdryer is very old, appears to be from few years back and room flooring is quite dirty. ok for a quick stay but will not be back"

"Location is great if you’re planning to visit popular tourist spots. Cleanliness was well maintained too — the toilet was spotless. However, the check-in experience was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING. ========== (TL;DR) Imagine you had to experience this after a 4 hours flight ========== The young female receptionist I encountered on arrival handled things very poorly. She kept insisting she couldn’t find my booking, smiling the entire time as if it were a joke. Instead of checking properly herself, she kept handing me random printed bookings, one after another, asking me if any of them were mine. It honestly felt like I was doing her job. If the names were even slightly similar to mine, I would understand. But she passed me almost every booking she had in her hands, including ones with clearly Japanese or ********* names that were nowhere close to mine. I even asked her, “So does that mean I’m supposed to sleep on the streets tonight?” Yet she still giggled, with zero sense of apology or urgency. It made me wonder if she had ever been trained in basic customer service or professional ethics. Eventually, she finally handed me the correct booking with my name. But even then, after I confirmed it was mine, she said, “I gave you this earlier and you said it wasn’t yours.” Like… excuse me? You’ve been passing me completely unrelated bookings the whole time?! I initially wanted to rate the service 1 star, but I added one more because the hotel cleaner left a good impression, the cleaner auntie was polite and attentive. ================================================================================ Facilities: The TV in my room was broken, so I’m guessing it was just for decoration. Ventilation also seemed poorly designed. Despite booking a non-smoking room, I was woken up early in the morning by cigarette smoke seeping in from outside my door. Not recommended for light sleepers either, as the soundproofing is weak. I could clearly hear people talking outside, though I’m not sure if they were in the corridor or inside another room."
