The house was built in 1910 as the home and office for the doctor that served the people living in "The Little Town with a Big Welcome". James and Lucy Wilkins, my grandparents, purchased this home in 1940 from the doctor. James was the accountant for the New River Coal Company having moved to the area in 1920s. This home has been restored to its original appearance reflecting the styles of the Victorian / Art Nouveau eras. We are located in the city of Oak Hill so no crazy backroads or surprises : )Relax on our back porch, around the firepit, or inside in AC after a great day of having fun!The space includes two bedrooms (each with their own TV). One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has two bunk beds (3 twins and a full). We have a washer and dryer at your disposal. The house is 936 square feet. We welcome 6 people to stay at a time, but be aware that it can get a bit crowded with that number (the bathroom is pretty small). 4 people can fit quite comfortably :)Please note that the “No Pet” policy is for guests. When we are using the house, we do bring our dog, Medora. She will usually end up being there about 2-3 weeks total throughout the year.
