New experience stays with amazing hospitality. Suggestion : stay within lijiang old town but close to main road . It will avoid the hassle of carrying your luggage, 1) owner of the home stays arranged both transfer picked up from the train. From the car park area to the home stay about 300m , the luggages were delivered to the homestay when will arrived but we have to carry ourselves when departed.. no joke .. we need to carry as the road is uneven stone road with up and down hill . Good exercise , sweat a lot . 2) We left the home early, the owner arrange the take away thoughtful breakfast . Some chocolate and portable oxygen for our Yulong mountain trip. 3) provided many useful information and help us on the Yulong ticket booking. 4) Provided free laundry services , help us to clean and fold the linen for us . Very much appreciated. 5) Free unlimited beverage available from 8-4pm daily .

Situated in the ancient town with a nice view. The path is quite rough and uneven so the staff helped us carry the luggage from the point where the taxi dropped us. The staff was very helpful and provide a lot of guidances. As we would miss the breakfast for both mornings because we would need to leave early for the tours, the staff packed the breakfast for us! The staff also helped me at late night with booking a taxi to a bus station. If it were not for him, we would have missed the bus to Tiger Leaping Gorge as no Didi taxis accept our advance booking.

We had an amazing stay at Pauline. Definitely a top choice to get away from the hustle and bustle of Lijiang. It’s located in Yuhu village that is quieter and smaller but the surrounding is super peaceful and chill. We loved the view from our room where we can see the courtyard as well as the snow mountain. Our room in Pauline is super beautiful and comfortable and we wished we stayed longer than two nights. The staff in Pauline are also very helpful and friendly to us, making sure that we know where to go and are well taken care of. Breakfast in the hotel is also very good, and it was served in their very beautiful and comfortable cafe area. The cats are also very cute. Highly recommend for people who wants to have a quiet getaway but still close enough to the tourist sites.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Le Manson in Lijiang. The hotel’s charm is absolutely incredible—the open architecture and beautiful courtyard with water wheels make you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time to ancient China. Despite its traditional design, the hotel offers modern comfort and technology. Our room was equipped with air conditioning, floor heating, a TV/projector, water kettle and more—everything one could possibly need. The bathroom was spotless, featuring a heated toilet seat and even a bathtub (though we didn’t use it). The daily Chinese-style breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes. On request, they also served freshly cooked rice or noodles. If you’re interested in trying the local Mixian (rice noodles), you can enjoy them right at breakfast. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the edge of Lijiang Old Town, with very easy access from the airport and main road. It’s also only moments away from the vibrant streets and lively atmosphere of the historic center. Overall, Le Manson beautifully blends tradition with modern comfort. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lijiang!

Probablement le meilleur endroit où j'ai logé dans tout Lijiang, mon seul regret est de n'y avoir séjourné que deux nuits. Il n'y a absolument rien à redire (si ce n'est l'isolation sonore, mais bon, des voisins bruyants et mal élevés en Chine c'est monnaie courante). As Muslim travelers, we truly appreciated the convenient location—nestled in the charming, rustic old town yet just a short walk from the main road, making it easy to find halal meals without trekking far or uphill. The modern toilet with a bidet was a delightful surprise and added so much comfort to our stay. The inn’s thoughtful design, impeccable cleanliness, and warm hospitality made our trip unforgettable. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend Mu Xue Oriental Inn to anyone visiting Lijiang—whether for culture, comfort, or convenience, this place has it all! A true 5-star experience! 🏡✨

We had an amazing stay at this accomodation. The location is excellent, on a quiet edge of the old town but easy walking to all the attractions. The view is magnificent; highly recommend selecting a room with a view. The room is spacious and comfortable, very clean, and the bathtub is great to have. The hosts were very friendly and communicative, and served us complimentary delicious Yunnan tea multiple times. We tend to like doing our own thing, but we could tell the hosts would be very helpful arranging tours etc. This accommodation is incredibly good value and we would recommend it to anyone.

I appreciated the convenient location and service, but the misleading tour arrangements, unexpected extra charges, and poor coordination made my overall stay frustrating and disappointing. Location: The hotel is in the southern part of the Old Town, which has fewer crowds than other areas. It’s quieter, still beautiful, and easily accessible. Service: The hotel offers one complimentary train/airport pickup if arranged in advance (for 3 night stay). The staff helped carry my luggage from the South Gate (cars can’t enter the Old Town) and provided welcome fruit upon request. Breakfast was as described, though the noodles were undercooked. The staff were responsive and helped me book tickets, including a trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain—but this is where things went wrong. Initially, the hotel staff quoted me a reasonable price that matched my research and said the schedule was flexible, I could spend as much time as I like. When I went to book, they suddenly told me I needed to pay about 200 RMB more because I was a foreigner—something I knew wasn’t true from my experience in other cities. They also said lunch was mandatory. I was short on time and wanted convenience, so I accepted the extra charges. Although I was told that jackets, oxygen bottles, and water would be provided, the driver took me and other Chinese tourists to a store to buy additional oxygen and energy drinks at four times the normal price. There I was told the “free” oxygen bottle was too small—information the hotel hadn’t mentioned. I bought one just in case but never needed it. I booked a sunrise tour with a 5 a.m. pickup, but we didn’t actually see sunrise at the mountain—partly due to weather, partly because the schedule wasn’t designed for it. The driver took me to Blue Moon Lake first, then the cable car, and the Impression of Lijiang show last. He kept saying I was short on time, so I needed to buy an additional ticket for battery car to get around and rushed through Blue Moon Lake without knowing how long the walk should take, only to end up waiting an hour at the cable car. After the show, we were taken to lunch, which had no menu—just a very basic hot pot shared with random strangers seated at the same table. The driver texted me to hurry up because other passengers were waiting and even told me that they didn’t pay for lunch because they knew it wasn’t good. That upset me even more. Overall, I felt rushed, overcharged, and misled, and the whole experience made the trip far less enjoyable. Amenities: The amenities were as described, but there was no daily housekeeping or towel replacement.
