美食街附近的酒店，房間新，面積不算大，但衞生還不錯。附近吃的很多，點外賣會有機器人送到房間。床品蠻舒服的，比較驚喜的是早餐，雖然種類沒有五星級的那麼豐富，不過食材感覺挺新鮮的，特別是麪條湯真的很好吃湯底一級棒。

早餐很不錯，酒店這個餐廳也特別新，而且環境也特別好，這個酒店好像是新開的吧，去年的時候來過沒有怎麼注意到，現在朝南這邊終於發展了這麼好的酒店剛進來試試就看到酒店的設備設施，這些都特別的新，房間也特別好，前台的工作人員態度也非常不錯，辦理效率也很高，真是不錯的一家酒店

The room are fully equipment and environment was excellent with hygiene clean, front desk servicing were good and serve you with carefully, I am very comfortable and satisfied with it!!!

The grand hotel is located in the city of Chaoyang - a small industrial city - possibly best known for it’s production of undergarment. Chaoyang is approximately 39-45 minutes (by car) away from Shantou city center. The hotel has recently been elaborately renovated which explains why it - for the most part - looks like it was just recently built and opened. Older reviews are therefor inaccurate. I visited a friend in the city and during my stay I enjoyed the comfort of one of the hotel’s two-room business suites. Both rooms (living room and bed room) can be separated by a proper door. The bedroom has its own nice big bathroom with a toilet, huge shower and sink. In the hallway (before the living room) there is a restroom with its very own toilet and sink. This is very practical if you plan to receive guests in your business suite - because they won’t have to walk through your bedroom in order to use the toilet. I never had a business suite before but when I saw the price and the pictures I suspected it could be an amazing deal - and it absolutely was. I would love to stay at this hotel again. The hotel has a small restaurant that offers a good Chinese breakfast. A spa and karaoke-bar are located inside the hotel. In my business suite I I never noticed the bar. No noise. I was going to visit the the spa but it was closed due to renovation.

Been to 3 hotels on this trip, Mercure is the best. The services and cleanliness are impeccable. They were courteous and very helpful. The amenities are what was mentioned to the dot. Yes the place was close to the station which I have chosen, it's a bit way out to the city centre (if you don't mind the distance) . Nevertheless the rest suits us perfectly. I highly recommend this place.

No regrets paying more for this beautiful homestay! 花多点钱住这里一点遗憾也没有！ My parents, sibling and I stayed for a total of 3 nights in their 4 pax room. It’s a beautiful and tastefully decorated accommodation with personal courtyard and interior. Bed and duvet were so comfortable especially in the chilly weather of 18 ~ 22 degrees. I didn’t spot anything obvious I can complain about regarding the cleanliness of this place, hence 5/5 for cleanliness. Location is perfect (5/5). Next to streets of food places that have good ratings, and super near 万象城 shopping mall (restaurants, luxury shops, retail and more). Anyways cabbing around Shantou is really convenient, fast, and affordable. Even though it is nested amongst other tall residential area, once we close the door we couldn’t hear much noise from outside. Service is 5/5 as well. There’s free pickup and drop off serviced from the railway station. There’s daily fresh fruits delivered to us, as well as chicken soup. There’s also free laundry service which we really appreciate! Staffs were always ready to help and always ready to give recommendations. We really felt their hospitality and they are genuine in providing best service possible. Amenities is 5/5 as well. The hair dryer is Laifen brand which is so strong and sleek looking. They provide disposable towels on top of those reusable towels. Their slippers are fluffy and comfy. They have like everything we need. Bonus: Their residential cat and her kittens are adorable!!! All in all wonderful stay and would stay again if i ever visit Shantou again. Suggestions for improvement: (1) more variety in breakfast options (stayed for 3 nights and felt that some breakfast options would be great), and (2) the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are a little too hard to pour out maybe can consider using press bottles.

這家酒店的衞生真的沒得挑！從大堂到房間，處處都乾乾淨淨，連電梯按鈕都有消毒濕巾。房間裏的床單被套都是一客一換，摸上去柔軟舒適。衞生間乾濕分離，洗漱用品質量很好，用起來很舒服。酒店位置不錯，離商圈不遠，逛街吃飯都很方便。前台服務熱情周到，還幫忙叫車，真的太貼心了！

Services and location are pretty good. Hygiene is very good. I like the shower utility the most, it’s really comfortable. I requested for help with the television and the staff was very efficient and helpful. One disappointment is the efficiency of the wifi and charging battery is way too slow. Overall, I had a satisfy experience there!

I was here in Shantou for a brief weekend trip and stayed at the Golden Gulf for two nights. They were fully booked up, but they gave me a nice Hello Kitty themed room (slight upgrade from my original booking). Very busy area with construction happening nearby, so I could hear those sounds during the day and the park recreation sounds in the evening from my 10th floor room. Lighting and blackout curtains were good though. Also good water pressure for the shower. Smoke smells in the hallways here because some rooms permit smoking, but my room was non-smoking, so inside my room was odorless. Strange that some taxis could not find the parking lot entrance and had trouble coming straight to the hotel doorway. Not sure if that was a glitch on my car hailing app or just a location issue. Bilingual reception and very kind assistant manager who added my WeChat to send me local food recommendations. Good hotel for those business travelers or tour visitors on a budget. Good hotel breakfast buffet, but other hotel guests were rude with throwing their used tissues on my table even as I was still eating. Perhaps more signage promoting proper dining area waste management, harmony and civility are needed in common areas.
