This was the most incredible experience. Dedicated staff and hotel that is committed to providing an authentic and relaxing experience. The amenities, onsen and food were outstanding.

華人友好，有台灣、香港（Miss 馬服務不錯👍）服務生，態度很好，熱情。 酒店套房設計，挺新，不是傳統温泉酒店，帶有些商務休閑氣息。 唯一要扣分的地方，洗手間有點味跑到房間了。床一般，睡得沒有白檀踏實。 勝在於綜合評分高。

The private onsen service was terrible. Please do not get the private onsen. The receptionist in the onsen does not understand english. The receptionist also did not assist us. The time was also incorrect. We were supposed to have 8-9 and 9-10 slot. But ahe is so confused. And 9:30 they are already knocking our doors calling us to come out. A totally bad experience in the private onsen. The hotel is ok. Food is also good. The private onsen which was supposed to be the highlight of our trip… became the worst. Total waste of money

Overall an ok stay. A bit hard to find, very limited English spoken by the staff which led to some confusion (even for the representatives who were assigned to us by English speakers). Felt quite formal and not that warm Room was more or less as expected, and the dinner and breakfast meals were quite elaborate. Felt that breakfast was actually the stronger meal of the two, so wasn’t necessarily worth it to pay extra for dinner. I’d likely skip doing dinner in the future. The room attendant who helped us was very kind and attentive, although we had a bit of language barrier given we don’t speak Japanese. The big disappointment was even though the ryokan is advertised as allowing guests to book one of the larger hot springs on the property for private use for 45 minutes, we weren’t able to do this. We arrived within the designated check in time and were told that it was all booked up for the day. There was no way to book in advance and we were only staying for one night, and they didn’t try to accommodate allowing us to book at all for the next day before checkout. This really hampered the experience overall - we weren’t that interested in using the gender segregated facility (was traveling with my partner who is the opposite gender) as we wouldn’t be able to spend time together, and the tub in our room was quite small. They should amend this policy to allow all guests to book a private hot spring time or not advertise it as part of the room! Feels like we got cheated out of the service and we weren’t offered anything else as an alternative. I would have booked another ryokan had I known this were the case - there are many others in Hakone which are much better value and have nicer / newer private facilities for around the same price. I wouldn’t recommend Yama no Chaya given this was a big part of what we thought would make it a good experience

Otel, Gora İstasyonu'na çok yakın, sadece 5 dakikalık yürüme mesafesinde. Bölge düz, bu yüzden bagajları itmek kolay. Oda harikaydı! Ocak ve tabaklar vardı ve her şey özenle düzenlenmişti. Banyo tezgahı da genişti ve cilt bakımı ve makyaj için bolca alan vardı. Banyoda ayrıca istediğiniz zaman ıslanmak için mükemmel bir kaplıca küveti vardı. Ayrıca, erkekler ve kadınlar hamamlarından sonra dinlenme alanında sınırsız dondurma vardı (ben denemedim çünkü sınırlı iştahımı matcha dondurmasından korumak istedim). Kaplıca havuzu kapalıydı ve yaz olduğu için çoğunlukla boştu. Gittiğimizde özel bir hamam gibiydi. Ayrıca bir sauna da vardı. Rezervasyonumuz kahvaltı ve akşam yemeğini içeriyordu. Kahvaltı, Japon ve Batı yemeklerinin bir karışımıydı. Akşam yemeği ise üç ana yemekten oluşan yarı açık büfeydi: ördek, domuz güveci ve balık güveci. Açık büfenin geri kalanı geniş bir seçkiye sahipti ve ayrıca geniş bir alkol yelpazesi de vardı. Yakınlarda, cam eşyalarınızı kendiniz yapabileceğiniz bir alana sahip, güzelce bakımlı, peyzajlı bir park olan Gora Park bulunuyor. Fiyatlar Çin'dekinden çok daha uygun. Çocuklu aileler için harika bir yer. Eksileri: Demiryolu hattına yakın olduğu için geçen trenlerden hafif bir titreşim oluyor. Ayrıca biraz pahalı. İki yetişkin ve iki çocuk için kahvaltı ve akşam yemeği dahil iki gece için 9.000 NT$'ın üzerinde harcadık. Genel olarak, şiddetle tavsiye ederim. Hem hizmet hem de ortam, gerçek bir tatil hissi veriyor. Tamamen dinlendiriciydi.

Need to walk a bit from the train station but there is a shuttle bus from here to the train station. Customer service was great and enjoyed the bath outdoor in rainy weather.

A comfortable stay with staff who are attentive to service. We loved the location of the ryokan and both the private and public onsens were clean and well-kept. We also found the quality of the food from restaurant very good. Loved how it was nestled high on the mountain which gave a bit of privacy. Shame the front facade was hidden due to renovations, but would love to come back again once it is fully renovated.

One of the best, if not the best spot to stay for a night when we came down to Yumoto. The foods great, the onsen s sizeable compared to the ones I went before, and it’s a walkable distance away from the Main Street, if not directly adjacent. I enjoyed every bit of my stay here, and I would love to revisit again in my lifetime.

Very nice (and spacious - by tokyo standards) hotel!! We had a balcony view of the mountain and the golf course. I didn't read the description and was pleasantly surprised that there was an onsen (must pay 150 yen usage fee per person). It was a really nice onsen too. It was raining the day that we got there and it made the outdoor onsen just magical with the rain in the backdrop. However, they do not allow tattooed guests into the onsen so foreigners, please be aware. The room was nice and gave old timey feels. I appreciated the big, long couch too. One drawback was that there was no microwave in the whole building :( But overall, would come back. It's a 10 minute walk from the T Tozan bus (so you can get there pretty quickly from the Togendai bus/ropeway station. The Lawson is right there next to the bus stop too (we got to go while the Evangelion collab was going on). The hotel has a free shuttle bus to various locations too so I would inquire about those upon check-in since those have to be booked the day before, but if you have the Hakone free pass and don't mind walking, it's pretty accessible via the Tozan bus lines

Ailem bu otelde kalmaktan gerçekten keyif aldı! Personel güler yüzlü, nazik ve yardımsever. Oda temiz ve ferahtı ve odamızdan Fuji Dağı'nı görebiliyorduk. Bahçe geceleri çok güzel ve Fuji Dağı'nı izlemek için de harika bir yer. Açık büfe akşam yemeği harikaydı ve kaplıca deneyimini çok sevdik! Otel, çıkış yaptıktan sonra bizi en yakın Ubako istasyonuna götürmek için ücretsiz servis otobüsü bile sağladı. Kesinlikle tekrar burada kalmayı umuyoruz!
