My second stay at this hotel, as always the customer service is excellent, a big shout out to Ronaldo from concierge and also the female chef who remembered my from my first visit, she has amazing English and was super helpful with my dietary requirements. Room was nice, although the sink seems discoloured and should be replaced, gym was well equipped and the pool was great! Evening buffet and breakfast had extensive selection. On the negative, it was NYE and there were no decorations up so didn’t have a celebratory atmosphere which was disappointing and no fruit or welcome drink considering it is New Years, that’s probably an edict from the top that should be rectified. Small things like that make a huge difference!

I truly enjoyed my stay at MEILIE Ling Hotel Xi’an. The hotel’s aesthetic is elegant and full of Song-style charm, blending traditional beauty with modern comfort. Its location is perfect — right near the Bell Tower and within walking distance to the Muslim Quarter, making it ideal for exploring the city. The service was personal and attentive. Staff members did their best to accommodate every need, responding quickly and always with warmth and professionalism. Complimentary laundry, breakfast, afternoon tea, and even a light supper were thoughtful highlights. Communication was smooth, and requests were handled efficiently. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable — soft and perfect for a restful sleep. I also appreciated the small yet meaningful touches: a water bottle thoughtfully placed on a bench near the elevator, free drinks at the rooftop bar, and the friendly faces at the lobby and dining area. The smart systems, delivery robots, and AI features added a fun, futuristic touch. Even the elevator design — intentionally slow with a built-in seat — reflected the hotel’s calm and graceful philosophy. The entire experience felt refined, relaxing, and full of care. A wonderful new hotel that captures the soul of Xi’an with heart and detail. This hotel has very spacious of room size and also has plenty of amenities such kitchenette, washing machine and cookwares. You can find the Starbucks coffee or McDonald nearby this property. If you don’t want to stay in the city area, this place was recommended to stay.

A beautifully designed hotel, run by a friendly, attentive and professional team and staff, haven't had such a lovely accommodation for a very long time! Grand entrance once you stepped in, the centre is a well curated garden housing some ducks and two peacocks. Room is spacious with comfortable bed, electric curtains, instant hot water on the shower, plenty of charging points and a variety of pillows dedicated to a good night sleep. Staff even helped us to order food delivery as our app doesn't work that evening. Breakfast variety is great, from local delicacies to western offerings. Wasn't bored throughout the four day stay, even wish for a longer stay if i could.

Very clean and well-appointed room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Tub nice although the water was not super hot. Room heater worked well. The gym here is actually pretty nice, including dumbbells up to 25kg, some straight bars up to 30kg, a smith machine, a few regular machines, bands, yoga mat, and various treadmills/bike/ellipticals. However, it seems just using your card doesn’t work to open it, you have to get an employee to unlock it for you, and it’s a bit difficult to find due to not enough signage pointing it out. The hot springs outside were pretty nice, I was surprised that despite staying in the hotel I still had to pay an additional fee of over $20 to access the hot springs even just one time. Breakfast buffet was also another $20. The hot springs had lots of small pools, they all seemed the same but with water ranging from 37-42C from what I could see walking around a little, I’m not sure how natural they are because they didn’t have any smell or special feeling despite supposedly being from a sulphur source? In December there’s not too many people so you can easily find a small pool for yourself. They also have a large indoor swimming pool which is suitable for swimming laps. There’s not much in the immediate surrounding area but it’s only a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest subway station and a 10 minute drive to the Hua Qing Palace. The staff speak English and are polite and friendly.

Friendly and ever warm welcoming of staff whenever we get back to the hotel after exhausted from our days’ trip. We were given a free upgrade of a higher floor room when we reached. Room service attendants are the best and I was really impressed how detailed and sweet the lady was in knowing we usually prefer our rooms to be cleaned after lunch as we do sleep in quite abit for most mornings. The cutest robot ever delivering our food deliveries every evening.🥰 If only there were more varieties and food options for breakfast.

We stayed in the Gran Melia Xi’an Hotel as part of our family holiday in China. Compared with another international chain hotel (also five star) in Beijing we stayed, Gran Melia is way better. The room is spacious, comfortable and spotless clean. The breakfast is heaven, so many varieties in both Chinese and Western food. This is the best opportunity to try local Xi’an Street food. The food in executive lounge is divine -top quality French, Spanish, Japanese cuisine and drinks for dinner are available free for executive guests. One of the best executive lounge in China so far. We want to thank all the staff we dealt with -at the front desk, concierge, accommodations, executive lounge team, the restaurant & kitchen in the hotel for their superb professional high standard service during our stay. We feel so lucky to book with the Gran Melia Xi’an and we will definitely come back again and again. And we’ll be happy to try Gran Melia in other cities in China. Thanks again for all your help. The 24hour spa is located inside the hotel. The hotel is to the left when you enter. Huge grand lobby! Reception spoke good amount of english to converse. They upgraded our room to a suite. It was an exceptional room! Loved everything about it. From the living space, to the bed and to the big bathroom. They even provide an air filtration system. I had an amazing sleep. Do check out the 24hour spa too. It has many amenities. I did not do any massages or extras. No reservation required (I arrived at 2am). Staff was friendly and helpful.

Best hotel for my Dec 2025 China Trip! We took on the Xi’an private tour offered by Trip.com and was arranged to stay in the hotel by the tour. Upon completion of tour, we travelled out of xi’an to other cities before returning to xi’an to catch our flight back. The hotel gave us such comfy vibes that we cancelled other hotel booked earlier and returned to the same hotel, once again. It’s definitely not cheap for the hotel around the area especially there are many alternatives within a stone throw from Bell’s Tower but honestly, no regrets! Room was extremely spacious and we’re lucky to get the room with city wall view. Room came with a separate living area which ended up being our luggage storage and packing zone. Upon entry to the room, there are a small closet area where there are cabinet for one to sit and changed out shoes, especially important because winter trip = having boots! WC (with a small sink) is also separated from showers which to me, was ideal because 2 person can do different business together at any time. We took on the breakfast even tho the food appeared to be the same throughout. Staple are steamed buns, pork belly, cereal pork rib, corn kernels with prawn and hardboiled egg. Nothing fanciful about breakfast but for winter, its a necessity because stores dont open early around the area. Cotti coffee and a convenience store are just next door, which is convenient. For those who are taking public transport, subway station is just right after the cotti coffee, which is perfect. Also for people who are excited with supermarket like us, Vangard supermart and another local supermart are just around the corner. Pharmacy are also there so it’s convenient! Showed my family the room and they are already planning to visit xi’an, JUST FOR THE HOTEL! No regrets, just book. You’ll thank me later (:

We chose this hotel for the location at the airport. We arrived very very late, and the connection between the airport and hotel was locked. We did not know how to access the hotel, which caused us stress. There was a phone number, but I could not figure out how to make a local telephone call on my international telephone. We only got through because others had the same problem and were also trying to access the hotel side. At three in the morning, we could not figure out any alternative. There should be clear signage with clear instructions. That was our only problem. The front desk was helpful, the room was good enough, and the breakfast was solid.
