We enjoyed a 3 night stay in one of the cottages and found everything to be first class The accommodation was lovely with everything you could wish for. Lovely toiletries included and the room was serviced each day The property is situated on the most gorgeous location overlooking vineyards with wonderful views Breakfast is excellent and the home made granola yummy! The staff are very friendly and let you know by WhatsApp when things like taxis arrive We also enjoyed meeting the 2 cats and the hen! We had no issue getting taxis into Stellanbosch including Uber Would highly recommend a stay here

Sugarbird Manor is located in a delightful farm just outside of Stellenbosch. It is near enough to be able to go into town to have lunch or dinner, but far enough that you get the peaceful and quiet of the interior. The staff is very attentive and friendly! The house cats are friendly as well :) Breakfast was quite nice. Maybe we got a bit unlucky since it was the waiter's first day on the job, but there didn't seem to be a set menu. She had given us and a couple sitting besides us two meal options. Later on I asked about some fruit and she said that was available as well on request (at no extra cost). I just wished there was a more "upfront" menu, but it didn't bother us since we ate quite well. The views are amazing! I heard most people like to get the cottages but we got an upstairs room inside the manor and it had the best view of the vineyards. Beautiful indeed! We would totally recommend Sugarbird to all that want to relax and enjoy what Stellenbosch (and region) has to offer.

Tranquil getaway. Most beautiful scenery. Cottages are spacious with well equipped kitchen. Amenities however are lacking. Still a very peaceful break to unwind

Our stay at Sugarbird was purely magical. The setting is unbelievably beautiful and tranquil with a beautiful mountain view. We went hiking for the day in Jonkershoek and had wonderful meals at nearby restaurants. Sugarbird is definitely one of our favorite getaways and the cottages are unbelievably comfortable.

We had a great stay at Sugarbird Manor. Staff were excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. Rooms were comfortable and clean, breakfasts very good in a charming setting with peacocks roaming around the tables on the terrace. Excellent treatments at the spa too. We will be back!

A very nice small hotel in a very green surrounding. Nice rooms, a beautiful garden montain view and a small but refreshing pool. The breakfast is really tasteful and there is nothing what we have missed. By car it is 10 minutes drive to Stellenbosch. We enjoyed our stay absolutely.

We had the most incredible time at Sugarbird Manor for our wedding weekend. The views are spectacular, the breakfasts were delicious, and Jannie and his staff went completely above and beyond for us to ensure that our bridal party felt at home at Sugarbird for the weekend. We would 10/10 recommend staying at Sugarbird to anyone looking for accommodation in Stellies

A venue that delivered on every aspect from initial booking, exceptional communication throughout and the most homely atmosphere and care during our stay. Our room in the courtyard was ideally placed to enjoy the surrounding grounds and facilities. If we are ever back this way again, expect us to stay once once more.
