Alison was a great host and waited for us as we had a late checkin. Very nice place to stay with a beautiful back drop. It is just hard getting there. Driving at night to get there is challenging so get there before dark. They had a very nice breakfast and dinner area with beautiful views. Everyone was friendly and make it for a nice stay.

In a quite delightful location, this Hotel on reflection is undoubtedly a wedding venue, and in that I would suggest it worthy of consideration. For us we were bed and breakfast guests for one night and although the accommodations were most comfortable and the catering very good ably provided by mine host Jas, the facilities mainly were quite large and more befitting the wedding venue status. The staff were most friendly and certainly helped make our stay. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious and we commend the cooking skills of Jas.

Very friendly staff and the food prepared by the chef was excellent. In particular the chicken was very tasty and the home made pizza dough was fabulous. Highly recommended if you want combime a remote location with nice hikes but also good food. We stayed for three nights and had a great time!

Fabulous hosts in a stunning setting. Great rooms, comfortable beds, and superb food. The best smoked salmon in Scotland! Thoroughly recommended. This establishment is a real case of arrive as customers, and leave as friends! We we so sad we only had a one night stop.

The honeymoon suite had an amazing view of the lake and was luxuriously furnished. This truly is the best place I have stayed in. The breakfast and dinner was also delicious and the servings are not small. There is a lovely bay fronted lounge and conservatory fully equipped with books and games. The owners were so friendly and helpful.

Had a wonderful overnight last weekend where Alison and Jaz couldn't have made us more welcome. The bedroom was fab, bed sooooo comfortable and the views were stunning. A super breakfast on Sunday morning set us up for the day too. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, with super hospitality in a beautiful location, look no further, Altskeith is a joy!

Alison is the nicest hosts I think I’ve ever come across. She welcomed us as if she’d known us for years. This house is beautiful in what can only be described as a stunning location. Our room was comfortable with an enormous bed. The patio just outside our room was the perfect place to sit and relax at the end of the evening. The food is delicious, the hot smoked salmon (smoked by Yas on the premises)pate is amazing. Both breakfast and dinner had great choice. Yas, you should sell your hit smoked Salmon 😁. If you choose this house as your accommodation whilst in the area, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Alison and Yas for making our short stay relaxing and memorable.

We had an absolutely lovely 3 nights in this beautiful house in it's stunning location. The room we had (bridal suite as a free upgrade!) looks out over beautiful Loch Ard with Ben Lomond in the distance. The bed and the lovely Egyptian cotton sheets were so comfortable I actually felt a bit disappointed when we got back to our own bed! Yas and Alison were great hosts and went above and beyond to help us. Yas' home smoked salmon and his breakfast pancakes are delicious. I would definitely recommend anyone to visit. I really hope we will be back

Altskeith was the perfect venue for our wedding. The hosts (Alison & Yas) were superb and made the day very special. Everything was well planned and Alison was attentive without being obtrusive. The food was brilliant over the 2 days and there is absolutely nothing we would change from the whole experience. A great venue, lovely genuine hosts and a really special location.
