Well, i would have been happy to give the hotel a glowimg review but our customer service experience was terrible. We booked the hotel on *******. We booked a room the was adverised as sleeping 7. This was thee only reason we stayed at this hotel. We were in town to see family for new years. We werent there for the pool or free breakfast we needed a place to sleep 7.
We checked in, went to our room it only slept 6. I called front desk and asked if there was a cot in the room somewhere or if they'd send one up, we needed beds for seven. They said oh, no, if you want to sleep seven there is a extra $21/night charge for the cot. I said the room is advertised as sleeping seven, it doesnt, it currently sleeps 6. This was blatantly false advertising but they proceeded to double down and tell me if i wanted the room to actually sleep 7 as advertised i would need to cough up another $42.
I own a business. We advertise and sometimes we dont get it right or leave room for interpretation in our ads. This falls on us and if ever anything is in question or could be interpreted differently we honour or own it and give the customer what was understood. It is so ridiculous to me that the hotel would grinde me over a $21/night cot charge. We booked the room for $150/night. The hotel was quiet, not like there was a cot shortage?
Front desk gave us flack for booking through *******. The managment needs some customer service classes.
