Scandic Sundsvall City

This was a good stay. Very clean room. They will clean it daily if you ask, but we didn't want that - happy with their emphasis on the environment. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast very good. Took a bit of time to navigate around it, but that is part of the fun of foreign hotels and breakfasts! Really enjoyed it. One issue? We planned to use the restaurant to eat on the Friday evening, but it was closed for a private party. Didn't know until we tried to get in! Very conveniently situated - close to city centre, close to station. It is part of a chain, but that isn't a bad thing - often good!

Extremely narrow room, no space for luggage. Different prices for the same room offered depending on direct telephone contact or booking directly on "my pages". No hotel parking - surrounding streets very crowded.

Convenient location. Clean bright rooms, nice bed and fluffy pillows. Superb breakfast, special dietaries marked well. Wonderfully helpfull staff both in reception and restaurant. Large lounge for gathering, small shop for necessities like ice cream and coffee.
