I booked this hotel through bookings.com and I must say the place is brilliant, I would have given them 4 stars as one thing niggled me but I don’t think it was annoying enough to warrant nothing but excellent The issue I found was no English tv channels all are in Thai, and they have a lovely large tv that was no use to me at all..worth keeping in mind if coming to stay and bring a iPad etc.. Apart from that the staff where great, the place is spotless and the maid service is excellent

Despite the centre of Surin not being as flashy and big as Bangkok, Fortune Mansion brings comfort and class to the area. Along with their cheap room prices, the staff are friendly and helpful. Do be warned that their English is very basic though, but this was not a problem for us. We have stayed here 3 separate times already, each for one night as we travelled around Surin. We have had rooms at the front of the hotel with both a double and twin beds. Both if these were VERY CLEAN and all facilities worked. All rooms are equipped with a fridge, meaning if you walk to the 7/11 which is two minutes down the road, you can store breakfast here. Fortune Mansion does not provide breakfast so be prepared. The back area of the hotel with more expensive rooms is amazing. We had a double bed room at the back and it was modern, again very clean, had a large amazing bathroom and the beds everywhere are very comfy. Overall, I’d recommend going to the back of the hotel for a room for more luxury as it only cost us 100baht more. However the front is still just as good. Very clean, modern, comfy beds, warm showers and overall a great hotel especially for the low price!

Good location on the main road Travel is very convenient Wide parking lot The entrance uses a key card to tap Enter the room, use the key card, tap the new big room, give two pillows and the price is cheap, breakfast is also provided. There are 3 menus to choose from, American style, boiled rice and pan-fried eggs.

The hotel staff is very enthusiastic and there is no problem communicating in English. It is reassuring to use Ctrip when traveling abroad!

Clean new hotel right next to Robinsons shopping centre in Surin. If you want to stay in this part of town then this is the best option. Need a car Highly recommend as new hotels are rare in Surin. Go for it.

Because friends live nearby, I have stayed several times and for numerous days at a time. Its location is perfect for me. This hotel is on the edge of town and quiet. It is not close to any attractions and nowhere really, to walk to from here. It's not remote, just not close to anything worthy. There is a place to grab a drink adjoining the entry from the main road, which, of course, is mostly populated by locals. The rooms are all very clean, serviced every day, and the staff is as helpful as they can but do not speak english. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is large with the classic thai shower. I am usually on the side viewing the abutting farm (rice?) and like to wake up amd watch the owner/tender go about their daily routine depending on the season. There is a small restaurant which has been closed since covid. Not sure it will reopen. I'd like to see the fountain out front working..I'm not sure if it's broken or just a budget concern. This is not a fancy hotel but the AC and hot water work, and you get new towels daily. For me, most important is very clean rooms. Great stay for the price. Tipping is not expected in this part of Thailand but if you stay, leave a few baht for the cleaning staff. Oh, during the rainy season you might have to ahare the bathroom with a few tiny guests (not pests). Don't be alarmed. They need water too, are harmless, and I've never seen them outside the bathroom. Gecko roam the lobby walls and sometimes the hall and likely in your room. This unavoidable in 90% of Thailand, but they are mosquito and bug eaters, so i like. If these added attractions put you off, Thailand is not for you.
