The southern hotel is very elegant, the room in the camphor is very comfortable, and the spacing between the villas is very wide and feels very good. The hotel environment is also good, breakfast is delicious. After three days of stay, the waiter sent chocolate every night. On the last day, knocking on the door knocked like an exaggeration. Amazing authentic Mauritian food experience. Great service with very friendly and attentive staff. Food was incredible and very tasty. Chef even came out to discuss some of the curries. Highly recommended for anyone that would like to try something different away from the hotels.

The restaurant is average, and it is not suitable to like lively and popular Chinese people, so there may be more white customers in Europe and the United States, but we have to praise the service of the hotel. The Hotel is excellent, and it's located in a very beautiful place in Mauritius with amazing beaches. The staff is very lovely and helpful, the service is a very high standard, and you can see that the management of the Hotel is investing to be on top of their game. The food is excellent, and has a good variety in the restaurants and menus for an all-inclusive hotel. My family and I stayed for 12 days and rented a car to explore the Island. The Hotel offered a service to pack a picnic basket (free of Charge for all-inclusive guests) every time we went outside the Hotel. These small things add up, and you can really see the extra mile the Hotel team is putting for their guests. The only thing that needs slight improvement is the WiFi connection and speed in the Hotel. In some areas of the Hotel, the WiFi coverage was not the best. I noticed it because it was in my room, but the rest of the areas were ok.

Lakaz Chamarel is truly exceptional. We left the Uk on a dismal June night and we’re transported to paradise Lakaz is hidden away in a secluded valley high up in the mountains near the Chamarel National park We stayed in a new villa (kestrel) and it was truly amazing. I stayed here with my grown up son and the Villa offered us plenty of privacy with a sofa bed ( which according to him was extremely comfortable ) in the living area with doors to close at night My bed was amazing with mosquitoes nets surrounding it for protection. The bathroom and outside shower was large and spacious and we both enjoyed the body scrub that was provided The swimming pool and outside living area are exceptional with stunning views of the mountains and a well maintained garden surrounding our own space Quiet footpaths winding through the gardens lead you to the pretty restaurant and bar but buggies provide transport on call whenever required. The Sunset View Bar is stunning and what more could you want than sipping a cocktail overlooking the sea and mountains watching the most stunning stunning sunset The food is excellent especially the Mauritian Buffet that is provided on one night a week with traditional Mauritian entertainment The atmosphere is very welcoming and you are made to feel special as all the staff are lovely, kind and helpful especially Peggy Thank you for transporting me to Paradise . Although way past honeymoon age I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this beautiful place to honeymooners to unwind after all the madness of the wedding etc but it is also the perfect place to unwind from hectic life styles or celebrate those special life moments I will return Hope to return again

The location is good, the hotel can provide free snorkeling service, you can also see a lot of fish snorkeling next to the hotel, the sea is very clear, great.

I took my mother on a vacation of a lifetime in May, and after several days of travel from the western US, we finally arrived at the Sands. We were picked up from the airport and the driver was very nice and got us to the hotel, and once we walked in, we were blown away. The reception area was beautiful and the views spectacular. We were shown our room and it was spacious, and clean with great views out the balcony. As we put our items away a gentleman came to give us a Covid screening. (we laughed because he was wearing a lab coat...) We relaxed by the pool, or played in the water and the staff was always making sure we had everything we needed. The food was very good, but some things were better than others. It was fun to try new dishes that are not part of the cuisine at home. On our first evening my mother wanted wine, and Rahja was very helpful and found her one. From that evening onward, he came to talk to her each meal and made her feel like the most valued visitor there. They laughed and joked a lot. He found her a few more bottles during our stay as well! He was by far her favorite staff member. Soudesh was of great assistance to us, booking off site adventures for us, and arranging transportation. He also asked the kitchen to make me some of their banana jam to take home, as I loved it so much. We used the spa as well, and my mother got the best massage, and mine was only mediocre. The beach at the Sands is also the best along that shoreline, so it's much easier to walk on than further down as it bites into your feet a bit. What made the Sands so nice is how warm and caring the staff was. They felt like family and they seemed to really care about you and really wishing you to have a great vacation. We stayed on the opposite shore after a trip to Reunion Island, and missed that, and wished we were back at the Sands. If I am able to return to Mauritius, I would definitely pick the Sands for my stay!
