Beautiful room with a view. Room was very clean and well managed. Amenities was perfect for adults and children. Although furniture are slightly old, but we have no problems with it.

My recent stay at the Oakwood Hotel & Residence Suzhou was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their professionalism and genuine helpfulness. They were always available to answer questions, offer recommendations, and ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
The highlight of the hotel was undoubtedly the stunning view of Dushu Lake. Our apartment room offered a tranquil escape, with the beautiful lake providing a serene backdrop. Waking up to that view each morning was truly refreshing.
What truly made our stay unforgettable was the surprise gift we received at the end! This thoughtful gesture by the staff left a lasting impression and showed their dedication to exceeding guest expectations. It's these small touches that make a big difference.
Overall, I highly recommend the Oakwood Hotel & Residence Suzhou to anyone seeking a relaxing and luxurious stay in Suzhou. The combination of stunning views, professional staff, and thoughtful service makes it an exceptional choice.

Counter staff New and Alice are excellent in producing tips and directions on payment and places to visit. Especially kudos to New for his initiative and friendly smiles which brighten up the day of weary travellers. Kudos also for the surprise portable fan when checking out:)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Oakwood in Suzhou, located right by the picturesque Dushu Lake. The location is fantastic - the lake makes for a beautiful and peaceful setting. The hotel itself is quite good. I found it to be nice and quiet, which allowed me to relax and get a restful night's sleep. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed.
Service and amenities are solid. The staff are friendly and accommodating. While perhaps not the absolute height of luxury, the Oakwood provides everything you need for a pleasant stay.
Overall, I rate this hotel an 8 out of 10. It's a very good choice if you're looking for a nice place to stay in the Dushu Lake area of Suzhou. The tranquil location and quality of the hotel make it easy for me to recommend the Oakwood.

The surrounding area mostly has local food restaurants. If you want a wider selection, go to the Times Square area or Suzhou Center. The view is amazing and great if you want to jog or stroll around the lake.
