Huge room and nice amenities.
Carpeted floor makes allow comfortable walk around in the room without the need for bathroom slippers. Location very good. Walked for a bit to Taipei 101 view

Looks very average from outside but inside is a nice surprise. Large rooms. Helpful staff. Well appointed. Pity the restaurants were all expensive - even the Asian buffet was USD$60 per person which us a bit rich.

The Howard Plaza Hotel is an amazing place to stay. I have traveled to Taipei quite a few times and have found the location, service and ammenities to be excellent. The breakfast buffet is fantastic--replete with a wide variety of both Western and East Asian cuisine. The Seven Scholars Lounge is also a great place for a nightcap after a busy day of traveling, meetings, etc. The staff are incredibly friendly, talkative and helpful.
On the less-than-perfect side, I tried the dinner buffet, but found it to be nothing special. Although it wasn't too expensive, I could have eaten better elsewhere. Also, depending upon which room you get, there may be no electrical outlet near the bed in your room. This makes pre-slumber cell phone view impossible as the only outlet was at the far end of the room.In my last four stays at the hotel this year, only once did I have a room with an electrical outlet at besdie. Just keep this in mind.
Other than these minor issues, the Howard Plaza Hotel is an excellent choice if you need to stay in Taipei.

The hotel`s facility is too old and paticularly in the bath room.
Plug in bath tab was out of order ,shower hed did not work properly and wet floor after take barhing etc,.

The hotel is located in the city center in a good location. The service is great and staff very friendly. I really enjoyed my stay

Other than being conveniently located, everything else is as expected of an average hotel. A bit old but it’s value for price.

We requested for a connecting room and a baby cot and it was pre-arranged as requested. Room card can only access the level of your room. Would be good to pre-request for rooms on the same floor if traveling in a group.

Very nice and very good staff. I highly recommend the hotel. You can even go up there nights easily. Come back to book it next time when I have chance.
