The hotel is nice and the meals are great. The hotel staff are very nice. And we enjoy the trip very much.

This is an amazing ryokan. The service was excellent and the food was beyond incredible. The onsen was so nice after a day of traveling. It was a cold day, but the room was very comfortable and the heater in the futon at night kept us warm. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Japan is truly one of the best countries I have been to. I will forever love Japan. This was an amazing experience, we learned so much of their culture and food. We enjoyed our stay here and had the best time. It is also within walking distance to the downtown. However, if you don't like to walk, you may call a cab. We hope to come back again and stay longer. The breakfast and dinner that was included was amazing. The staff were hospitable and the service was above and beyond. Thank you for the amazing experience.

Such a beautiful quaint hotel. Staff from the driver to the ladies in the kitchen..., all are friendly and made us feel so welcome. Hotel is 15 mins walk from the main station but you can be picked up if you let the hotel know in advance. Food is amazing. Room is clean. Onsen is great . Overall, it’s the highlight of our Japan trip this time.

A big thank you to all the staff at Yamakyu. We had a great two nights and were looked after superbly. The traditional breakfast and dinner were delicious and so much food to enjoy! The room was spacious and the onsens were very well maintained.

Adorable ryokan in Takayama. It is not a secret to anyone that hospitality in Japan is remarkable. They picles up us at Takayama Station on time. The ryokan is 5 minutes from Main Street of the city. The dinner was spetacular with several japanese options. We loved the experience! The breakfast was also amazing. We are not used to eat huge meal with rice,but the rice and miso were só good and We ate twice. Thank you team for all hospitaly. We collected a good memories with our stay. We with you all the best. We are already recommending to our Brazilian friends.

We had a great time at Oyado Yamakyu. We enjoyed a true ryokan experience, and wonderful Kaiseki style meals. Hida beef prepared so tender and tasty, the best beef we ever had. We arranged for arrival pick up, the driver was promptly waiting for us at the train station. When we checked out to visit Shirakawago, he took the short cut, so we would not be late for the bus. All the staff was very kind, and the front desk staff graciously connected us with the Tokyo police department upon request. Thank you Oyado Yamkyu for providing exceptional customer service to your customers!
