酒店有shuttle bus來回於JR高山站，如果天氣好，步行過去也不算遠。早餐和晚餐都非常棒，飛驒牛肉絕絕子！

食事も温泉も素晴らしかったです。夕食は少ないかな？と思ってましたがとても満足する量でした。説明も丁寧で楽しく食事することができました。 朝食もとても良かったです。おかわりしてしまいました。 お風呂も入れ替えがあるので両方楽しめて良かったです。

好日式溫泉旅館值得再去

We stayed at Hodatei Hanaougi from May 24 -25. We would like to thank you for the excellent service and the nice surprise given to my wife for her birthday during the dinner. The room and the outdoor bath is also beautifully set. We would like to also acknowledge your trainee Koharu san, she is very professional, very polite and engaging. I think she will become a great asset to you. We did not try the public Onsen, as we have own private onsen in the room. We did have both exquisite dinner and breakfast. We were picked up from the train station and drop off to the same location when we checked out. Will definitely come back!

We had an exceptional experience at this hotel, where the culinary delights took center stage. The kaiseki menus, impressively vast in size, were served in private rooms, adding a touch of exclusivity to our dining experience. The service was truly outstanding, with a dedicated staff member catering to our needs throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the private onsens available from our room, providing a serene and relaxing escape. It added an extra layer of luxury to our stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A thoughtful touch we appreciated was finding our shoes neatly arranged each morning as we left the hotel for the day. It showcased the meticulous attention to detail that characterized our entire stay. In summary, this hotel is a gem, offering not only delectable cuisine with expansive kaiseki menus but also exceptional service and thoughtful amenities. The meandering path through the bonsai garden says “you are home”. Upon arrival the staff line up to bow respectfully and you are assigned a personal valet. Traditionally Japanese with tatami mats throughout and a luxurious onsen with outdoor and indoor pools, sauna and cold plunge. There’s also a hot foot bath next to the koi ponds. Meals are exquisite with a couple of choices for each meal. Rooms are traditional with a bathtub and shower. The view is nice, especially for being in the city. Well worth the cost.

We loved this ryokan. Admittedly we stayed in a western style suite which was absolutely gorgeous with extremely comfortable beds and spectacular finishings in the room, within a ryokan with all the traditional trappings - the onsen baths, a beautiful pond, private rooms for Japanese-style meals, etc. The service, food, ambience, etc. were all superb. The ryokan is not in Old Town but there's a continuous shuttle so it's easily accessible. This place was an absolute delight in every way.

Great ryokan in a place that was way more touristy than I expected. Great food, very heavy on Hide beef, and huge size kaiseki menus, so be aware and perhaps ask them to scale down a bit in advance. Impeccable service, cleanliness, food, shuttle from and to the ryokan. One thing to point out is the quality of the water of the onsen, one of the greatest I've ever experienced. I would have loved for the men / women onsen to be switched on days vs morning / evening though.

The service of the hotel was impeccable. Staff were friendly and food was superb. The manager was very helpful when we asked for some ideas on where to go. For non English speaking staff, they tried their best to understand us and catered to our requests so we really appreciate it! Not to forget, the onsen was also great with 2 outdoor bath and one indoor bath.
