Highlanders Garden Guesthouse at Arundina Cameron Highlands

16 of us all retired over 70s seniors booked into this guesthouse for 2 nights for our reunion gathering. Unfortunately one of us haemorrhoid bled slightly while sleeping thus causing slight stains on the bedsheets. In the morning he informed the counter to change the bed sheet . Later in the day he received a bill of 1000 ringgit . (Attached 1)without attaching any photo damaged evidence. Before we checked out, the young owner came in . He claimed that the stain was unremoval but couldn’t show us the evidence. His tone was arrogant,rude and threatening .After a lengthy negotiation we managed to settle with RM 400 cash without getting any receipt before we were allowed us to leave. Given all of us are in our 70s plus we had no choice but to succumb with the demand . The room rate was only about RM 450 for 2 nights for that room . We would never go back again and good luck to all readers . Facilities conditions 2. Water Heater was noisy when turned on. Bathroom shower drain pipe was slight blocked 3. Not suitable or friendly for old or people having leg problem as you need to walk up stairs to 1st & 2nd floor to get to your room. 4. Rooms are not properly insulated as you can hear people talking outside 5. Worse house rule is that Guests are required to remove shoes and leave them outside the entrance at your owned risk. What happen if your can’t find your shoes next day? 6. Wifi connection in the room was unstable 7. If you want a peaceful and happy holidays not recommended to stay here

The guesthouse is right next to the forest which makes a very peaceful setting. We could see the forest from the windows of our room which was beautiful. The beds were soft and had great sheets. The only downside is that it isn’t soundproof within the house so you can hear people opening and closing there doors. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful!

The hotel is just 2 minutes from the town center and the bus station. The staff is very friendly and is helping you whenever you have a question or when you want to book a trip. Our room was quite large and very clean with good wifi connection. In summary, we had a great time here!

Das Hotel ist ruhig gelegen, doch gut an Geschäften angebunden. Mit Taxi zum Bahnhof sind es ca. 4 min. Laundry & 7-Eleven ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß, eine kleine Mall genauso. Preis-Leistung des Zimmers passt. Servie war freundlich und gut. Die Zimmer waren sauber. Negativ war die Dusche. Temperatur war überraschend, ich habe mir den Nacken verbrannt. Meiner Familie habe ich das Duschen untersagt, da es wirklich gefährlich war. Auch war die Bettwäsche des Hotels klamm. Vermutlich wegen der sehr hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit. Die kühle der Hochregion dazugenommen, führt schnell zu einer Erkältung. Meine Frau hatte danach eine Lungenentzündung. Ich würde eher dazu raten Brinchang als Ausgangsort zu buchen, da der Nach**arkt und viele Attraktionen von dort sehr viel näher zu erreichen sind. Positiv möchte ich einen Hawker-Stall in der Nähe erwähnen. Die Strasse ganz runter auf der linken Seite. "Orchid...". Sehr gutes Essen zum günstigen Preis. Probiert das Naan für 15 RM. Achtung, es gibt kaum Frühstücksmöglichkeiten um 7:00 Uhr.
