Riad Dar Saba - Saba's House

We travel quite a bit and the best hotel service we have ever received was during our recent stay at Riad Dar Saba - Saba’s house in Tangier Morocco. The staff were incredible…the answer is yes now what’s the question? This is a small boutique hotel with only six rooms. We stayed in the “Elizabeth Taylor room” which had a very comfortable bed, in-room safe, small fridge and a great shower. The free breakfast is served each morning on the rooftop patio and is absolutely incredible! The hotel also has a small bar and comfortable sitting area. Saba’s house is about a one minute walk to the Kasbah area overlooking the ocean near Bab Al Bahr, several museums and several great restaurants. The hotel is about a five minute walk to the Petit Socco shopping area. If you are unsure about navigating the confusing matrix of small roads, alleyways and passageways, one of the helpful hotel staff members will be happy to show you the way! I can’t adequately describe how incredible the service was! We would seriously consider returning to Tangier just so we can stay at this amazing hotel. Thank you so much to Abdellah, Mehdi and all the other staff members who made us feel so at home. If you are going to be in Tangier - stay here!

We had a great weekend in Tangier and our stay at Saba's House is one of the main reasons we had such a great time. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, from providing us with mint tea and sending out for a plate of cakes to advising us on visits and booking dinners at restaurants. Our room was really comfortable and the building was beautiful. We enjoyed very generous breakfasts on the roof terrace. The location is in the historic Old Town which we loved for its architecture and history. We want to go back to Tangier and when we do we will definitely stay at Saba's House again.

Really well located in the gorgeous Kas bar We were so well looked after , my son arrived a couple of days after us from London , nothing was too much trouble for them , they set up some food in front of the fire as they came in late from London. We spent 8 days in Morocco this past month and loved our family trip. For all six of us the highlight was Tangier. What a cool place, with great people, and a funky vibe. And we loved our hotel, Saba's House - Riad Dar Saba. The location can't be beat, inside the old Medina. I ventured out early for street photography (perfect setting) before a lovely roof top breakfast each morning. Roya (hotel owner and hostess) was a superstar in helping arrange plans and meals. During our 8 days in Morocco we stayed at the Royal Mansour in Marrakesh and Kasbah Tamadot in the Atlas Mountains. Both spectacular hotels, but there was something really special about Saba's House. I can't wait to return!!!

Five star service and accommodation. The service was so superior it reminds me of the book by Will Guidara “ Unreasonable Hospitality”. The staff went out of their way to be attentive, kind and helpful. They walked us to the atm so that we wouldn't get lost the first day and when our suitcase began to fall apart they took it upon themselves to sew it together for us. The hotel is decorated beautifully, the view from the roof is incredible and the fireplace is very cozy. The breakfast was decadent! Thank you so much, particularly to Zaki and Mehdi- and the other staff- you made our weekend really special.

A great stay for our wedding anniversary trip to Morocco. A beautiful, deluxe, 12 of 5 stars location in the middle of the Medina. Roya is such a gracious hostess and her staff is always friendly and helpful at every turn. She can arrange tours or book you a restaurant or help with where to find great treasures in the Soco. NO detail is missed in this Deluxe 6 room house. It's small, private, elegant, and you receive individual attention. Each room carefully decorated individually and named after famous celebrities and residents of Tangier. Elegance is not missed from the front bar to the huge rooftop breakfast with a view of the Bay of Tangier. Every detail from the soft linen bedding and marble bath to the artwork in every room. She even has a small lift for access to upper rooms. The location is a superb way to wander and discover the alleys of the Grand and Petit Soco, the Ferry is walkable, wander all through the Medina and experience the magic of old Tangier. A car service from the airport dropped us right to the door where we were welcomed with an awesome tea. My wife and I can not say enough about this perfect stay. We are so glad we found it and look forward to coming back!!! It is no wonder it has been voted the TOP Boutique hotel in Tangier. Thank you Roya and staff!!

My wife and I recently stayed at Sabas House in Tangier during a 3-day birthday trip, and it was a wonderful experience. Sabas House is a small but beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of the old town of Tangier and is incredibly close (walking) to everything you want to see and do. Moreover, the hotel staff were exceptional, friendly, and accommodating. I emailed the hotel before our trip, and the owner arranged a full itinerary of tours and made reservations for lunch and dinners at fantastic restaurants. 5-star service and a lovely hotel; we highly recommend this hotel if you plan a stay in Tangier!

If you are looking for a good welcome, tranquillity, beauty and a splendid service, this Riad, hidden in the Medina, is for you. The tasteful décor, between the traditional and the modern style, the luxury and efficient rooms, the breathtaking view from its cosy terrace (the largest of the Medina's Riads), will tempt you to spend more time indoors rather than visiting the beautiful Tangier! After a rather long journey, it was pleasant and relaxing to spend an afternoon on the terrace, pampered by the sea breeze and the courtesy of the discreet, friendly and present staff. The Riad staff will really make you feel at home. The Riad does not have a restaurant, but staff would prepare excellent snacks or a light meal on request; the breakfast is excellent, as well as the bar service. One of those places that you leave with nostalgia and where you want to return soon.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Saba's House in Tangier. Set in the heart of the Casbah, the riad offers a relaxing retreat from the hustle and bustle of Tangier. Great restaurants and not-to-miss sites are just footsteps away, the interior design is tasteful and stunning, and the rooftop patio offers a great view of the Medina and port. Even more amazing is the staff. They were totally attuned to our every need, welcoming us with a cup of mint tea, supplying us with water on our journeys into the Medina, escorting us to the port on our departure, and other little courtesies to numerous to mention. One of the highlights of our trip was a guided tour of Tangier provided by Rida Bonab. Thanks to the team at Saba's House and to Rida for making our stay in Tangier a memory for a lifetime.
