We had never been to Taormina before, at first hesitant to stay on the hills above, however, on our arrival we were completely taken over by the incredible views, sublime decor and the warm , attentive staff. Our room had every detail possible, with a covered balcony that had views of the coast and blue sea. A haven away from the bustling center, the shuttle service was frequent and easy to use, making our stay on the hill even better.The restaurant had an amazing breakfast, with tables set in front of.the panoramic views. Restauarnt staff very attentive to our special requests.

This is just a gorgeous boutique hotel perched high on a hill outside Taormina. Our suite was lovely with our own balcony with furniture. Our room was beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfortable. We had a fridge in the room which was replenished with soft drinks, water and wine each day. What really made this hotel stand out though was the customer service. All members of staff from the reception team, the restaurant staff, the minibus driver to the lovely lady who cleaned our room were so friendly and helpful- they just couldn't do enough for us. I practised my italian as best I could and they all encouraged me by replying in kind. The free minibus took us up and down to the town although we did walk down all the steps and back up one day ( not a good idea when its really hot though!). The food in the hotel was local and fresh and always beautifully presented. We visited the ampitheatre, the town, the lido at Giardini Naxos ( the only sandy beach!) and the highlight for me was the town of Castelmola- amazing views and just lovely to walkaround and have lunch. We just had the most amazing holiday!

We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Villa Ducale in May this year. No words. Exceptional. Views stupendous with an outlook of the beautiful bays and of course the mighty Mt Etna. Our Room was gorgeous, clean, large and very comfortable. Also, for us it was not only the ideal outlook but the amazing food at the Restaurant and gracious staff. Food was exceptional, whether for breakfast lunch or Dinner. Wine local was so good. The staff whether at Reception or Valet or Restaurant so charming and knowledgeable. We would jump at the chance of returning to this truly wonderful Hotel. Simply the best. Thank you.

We stayed for a week at this gorgeous small boutique hotel and loved it. We had the warmest welcome from Daniel when we arrived and were given an overview of the hotel and town over a glass of Prosecco. The hotel is perfectly located in the hills above Taormina with amazing views of the Bay of Naxos and Mount Etna. The courtesy minibus into town was most welcome and convenient, we used it daily. Our room was lovely with two balconies and again wonderful views. There was a pillow menu which was a nice touch. Breakfast was a delicious feast served by the lovely warm and friendly staff including Giuseppe, Salvatore, Francesco and Max. The reception staff were all very helpful, making lots of restaurant suggestions and bookings, all of which were spot on. Housekeeping was really thorough and again delightful staff. Our holiday was made particularly special by the fantastic team at Villa Ducale. We met Daria, the manager and Andrea, the owner who were so warm and welcoming, we were made to feel like family. Thank you, will definitely return.

The beautifully situated hotel is a charming spot to relax away from the busy central Taormina. A personal shuttle takes you in to town as needed. But we never wanted to leave our beautiful room with private patio overlooking both the sea and Mount Etna. And the food is some of the best we ate in all of Sicily! Signora Quartucci and our favorite waiter Giuseppe made us feel like family. Grazie!

A truly wonderful stay. Amazing staff… everybody was great. Massimo and all the front desk staff, Giuseppe, Francesco, Max, and the restaurant staff. Fantastic views and excellent breakfast. Highly recommend this small hotel high above the town.

Perched high above the sea with fabulous views of Mount Etna, small intimate, and a wonderful staff. Giuseppe, a young man spoke excellent. English took very personal care of us had a great personality and was effusive in his enthusiasm. All the staff was wonderful.

Loved this boutique hotel, nestled up in the hills by a beautiful church. Incredible welcoming service - they greet you with bright welcoming smiles and orient you to the hotel over a glass of prosecco. spectacular views from the restaurant and the room. great buffet breakfast. room was gorgeous with lovely balconies. a slightly funky smell from the bathroom which was quickly addressed.

What a truly wonderful experience my mom and I had here! Unfortunately our travel agent had booked the wrong dates, and we hadn’t realized. But they were so kind to us immediately, despite our mess-up. Massimo was so lovely to see what they could do, and the manager, Daria, even got us a room with a view, as we’d booked it! They immediately brought us into the dining room for Prosecco with a gorgeous view and fantastic and gracious service by Max. And for our stay, Daniel was so warm and full of answers for our many questions and very helpful suggestions. It’s a beautiful, terraced property, and they run shuttles to and from town for our convenience, and will text with you RE any adjustments or advice on getting around. We will definitely be back. We only wish we had more time to just relax and enjoy the hotel itself!
