New Overlander Inn

What a lovely weekend my husband and I have just spent at the New Overlander Inn. Very clean, light and spacious room with a huge bed! Slept like a log both nights! Shower with pressure to give a karcher a run for its money! Both evening meals were excellent and the dining area was very clean and welcoming. Home-made is always better and it didn't disappoint. Breakfast was delicious too. Well presented. My eggs benedict were perfect. Proper thick bacon too! Husband's full English was spot on. Big pots of tea and coffee too. Just the way to start your day! Lovely friendly and social staff both for breakfast and evening meals. Thanks girls for your service. If we ever stop down Tenby in the future, we wouldn't hesitate to stop at the New Overlander again 🙂

A lovely cosy clean room, really nice bathroom, friendly staff and plenty of parking. It’s also walking distance from train station. Trains don’t run at night, and the road in front is quiet at night. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We visited here on a wet rainy day in Tenby and it was welcoming and cosy. Jay who served us could not do enough for us. We ordered lamb shank, homemade steak and kidney pie (and it absolutely was!) and two childrelen's meals 😋 . We will defo be back, and worth a little walk out of Tenby town. You will not be disappointed.

Great food , reasonably priced We went as a party of 6 people & everyone was pleased with the overlander Inn. Great for parking ,all on the flat & would definitely go there again when in Tenby . We went on a very rainy mid week day and it was quiet there , probably very busy on summer days , then best to book. Lovely little building.

Absolutely beautiful food. Couldn't fault anything. The service was good. Lovely friendly staff. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed. Would love to stay at the hotel and try their breakfasts.

The New Overlander Inn is well located reasonably close to Tenby. It takes about 30-40minutes to walk into Tenby along the beach, and it's a lovely walk. It is adjacent to a road so there is road noise in the day, but as your likely to be but that is not an issue. The road noise dies down in the evening so is not a disturbance over night. The train at the rear of the Inn rarely runs so again, no disturbance. The room in the roof is very nice and well looked after. Whilst it is called an Inn, they don't open until 5.00 and they close early if there are no customers, so as we couldn't be sure we'd get a drink we tended to go out and stay out, hence we didn't try their food either. This wasn't what we'd planned but there are some great restaurants in Tenby and the Cross Inn in Penally is 5 minutes walk. All in all, the Overlander was well located for us, we enjoyed our stay and could recommend it to others.

Went for Sunday lunch what a waste of money that was dont.bother..wouldnt go back had better in a cafe. Chewy lamb hard carrots. 2 roast 2 boiled.potatoes had to ask for peas. Only a dessert spoon each lamb we got 4 pieces each small *****s.swimming in gravy too

Sunday evening dinner stop. Bright & airy restaurant but perhaps benefit from a little modernisation. The meals, my wife chose the steak & ale pie which she says was excellent. It was full of good chunks of beef. I chose the Sunday roast. The slices of beef were generously cut & there were ample vegetables for us to share. For sweets we chose jam roly poly & were delighted to find it was of a traditional suet recipe and not just jam roll cut up as we have experienced in many other places. The staff were friendly and overall we were more than satisfied with our evening here.

Really lovely meal. This is our 2nd year in Tenby and we made a bee line for the overlander as we had enjoyed the food previously. The food is still top notch: the mussels starter is obviously fresh I.e a few non openers in there, not the vac packed portions you can buy from Lidl and a large portion. Main was chicken in feta and my partner had mushroom pasta. We were stuffed by the end. It's a family run business I understand and it shows.
