La Buena Vibra Retreat and Spa Hotel Adults Only

Definitely one of the worst stays of my life. It was a real life nightmare. When I arrived at the hotel they didn't find my reservation (2 nights) so they "upgraded" me to a suite that did not even have a TV for the first night and for the second night they told me they could help me find a place at another hotel (no discounts, vouchers or anything to compensate). The food and service at the restaurant is mediocre at best and extremely overpriced. Food takes quite a while to arrive, they brought me a starter I did not order and then the one that I ordered didn't have any taste. The beds and pillows are uncomfortable. In my room (mango) you could hear the pump for the garden fountains working all the time and there are no blackout curtains for the windows. Overall the experience was terrible. For a $175 USD per night hotel and a $50 USD average restaurant ticket per person you could get easily something much superior somewhere else.

Don’t let the bone-shaking roads of this town put you off, once you get past the gates of this lovely hotel, you can enjoy this calm, very well run hotel. The buildings are well designed with spacious bedrooms. The view from our balcony was breathtaking. The common parts are varied and beautifully furnished. The service was first class and this is clearly a well-managed business. You have to experience the Sunday morning breakfast buffet. In summary, a great hotel. We really enjoyed our stay.

It isn’t easy to describe how gorgeous and incredibly peaceful and uplifting this destination is. It is clear as day though that the jungle vibes and cultural atmosphere there provoke a very deep sense of healing! During my journey, scouting Tepoztlán for the perfect center to host an International wellness function, I found myself here soaking up so much serenity. There are many noteworthy Teachers of several modalities and disciplines that have acquired a lifetime of profound practical knowledge to share with students, and I witnessed them doing so humbly. It is remarkable to see strong Women and Men developing their practice and doing ‘the good work’ of the world. There are only a few critical thoughts I suggest for improvement. I would love to see this location taking immense pride in curating an Essential Vegan/Plant Based Menu (which will also contribute to local Farmers maintaining market, harvests, and secure sustainable futures). The service can be improved by making sure every Worker is appreciated so they can emit that Joy to the Guests. Next time I am in town to make my determinations I will again visit the restaurant and I would like to be seated within 3 minutes of my arrival and I would like to have a Menu and option for beverage within 1 minute of being seated. I would like to be asked by the Server immediately if I have any dietary restrictions or food allergies. In the past I’ve assumed what was presented at the table was one thing when it really was another and I almost ended up in an emergency room because I was not carrying my Epi-Pen with me. I would like for the Server to announce any menu item that is served so my table mates and myself can all be educated and I would like for all the food to be delivered as close to the same time as possible. I would love to see the Servers with Joy in their eyes as it translates into the experience for the Guests. In service work, the bottom Man/Woman needs to be treated well and provided with living and loving wages so that She/He can share that security with the Guests. I would like to be checked up on more frequently, just a slight pick up in pace. The Pool is so serene and the Jacuzzi could be a tiny bit warmer but those are quick fixes. I would like to see Juice options at the pool. The overall vibe here had me feeling hypnotized the whole time and I still will highly recommend staying in this location for at least 5-7 days to get the full experience. Hustling ain’t easy and neither is Detoxing so finding this location (hopefully to accommodate a function of 200 persons) has been Godsend. I can’t wait to return to get the final approval for drafting our first contract and enjoy more of this place that oddly feels like Home.

La Buena Vibra is hands down one of the loveliest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Surrounded by the Tepoztlan mountains the hotel captures the magic of its surroundings. Everywhere you look little details pop out creating such a beautiful space. The friendly staff mirror the peaceful feel of the hotel which really feels like home with delicious food and drink capturing the flavour of Tepoztlan. If you’re looking for spacious rooms, lush green surroundings, yoga, relaxation and the most wonderful massages you’re in the right place. Thank you for the most wonderful stay x

This retreat is the best place to escape for a weekend getaway. I can go on and on but my time staying here we had amazing and friendly service from all the hotel staff, deliciously healthy food, relaxing massages, access to cold plunges/saunas, relaxing by the pool. I would wake up each morning with gorgeous views of the big rocks surrounding this retreat. They also have such amazing yoga classes as well as a meditation room. 10/10 recommend this for anyone who is looking to getaway and unplug. Also the rooms are huge in size and really nice. Will stay here again if I ever find myself in Tepoztlán!

La Buena Vivra is an amazing and beautitful place to stay at! It is so peaceful and relaxing! I wish I could go back there! The massages and the spa are incredible! The gardens are beautiful and the rooms super pleasant! The food is also super delicious with mexican specialties!

This place is magical. I was there in March for a yoga retreat and I was impressed by the quality of the acomodation and the high level of care for every details in the location. The hotel is nested in a lush garden, filled with beautiful plants and flowers, together with lovely decorations from all over the world. The food is fresh (some ingredients come from their garden) and delicious and all the staff of the hotel is very kind and welcoming. It is the perfect place for relaxation and restore, especially if the stay there is combined with yoga classes and treatments at the spa (the massage was excellent)

Actually it's very hard to put this place into words, one has to experience it oneself! This place is magical! Everybody is so friendly it feels like one is a family member than a hotel guest. The food was fantastic as well as the waiters. The rooms are so thorougly designed, there are beautiful and very clean. For me it was hard to leave this place and all those friendly faces! So I definitely have to come back.

Yoga classes are a must. J’aime is awesome and professional all the time. The ladies at the spa are so gentle and professional as well. Super recommended. All the time I’ve gone there I’m super happy. The food at the restaurant is delicious and home grown.
