Palazzo Caracciolo del Sole

Unless you are driving, DO NOT STAY HERE. Terzigno is an isolated town, an hour on the train from Naples. (And the last train leaves Naples at around 8pm, so don't expect to at least be able to have a nice evening out in Naples and then head back!) The accommodation itself is fine. The rooms are large, clean and the beds very comfortable. There are things that could be improved on; the shower was useless. A working fridge was essential given the poor food offering - but like the wifi, was not working.... The breakfast was very disappointing. The only items provided are a few cakes/'toast' (all in packets). Bottled juice (peach - no other flavours) was nice. There's a coffee maker in the kitchen which was left flooded by a previous user - the hotel owner/manager said the water just needed emptying. But there was no sink! Very helpful... So we went without. There is nothing fresh at all - no pastries, no bread, no fruit, no yoghurt. There are unbelievably NO TAXIS in the entire town. There is no mobile phone signal and the hotel wifi was not working..... so without a car you are really isolated. The guy who is at the other end of the whatsap number given out was a young bloke who spoke absolutely no English whatsoever. It was very difficult to communicate anything at all and pretty stressful. The property said in an email before we arrived that they offered airport transfers - so we said we would like one. They didn't even bother to reply. Overall, a disappointing stay and a stressful experience we wont ever be repeating.

Me and my daughter arrived on a Sunday afternoon and were met by a young man who could not speak English. He didn't offer to help with the heavy suitcase up the marble staircase, he couldnt explain where we could eat or shop. The hot water lasts for about 30 seconds, dont plan a shower there! The reception desk is not manned and when you ring the number provided you cannot get an answer so there is absolutely no help available for anything - quite scary in a foreign country!

The guesthouse has beautiful and big rooms. We stayed in one called Capri. There was a small balcony and it had just one chair. It would be nice to have 2 chairs. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast very simple. Consisted of prepacked items and sweets. It would have been very nice to have some youghurt. In the breakfast room there was a fridge with juice and water. Not many restaurants were open in town maybe because it is not yeat tourist seeson. We found a supermarket that had a good selection of cheeces and meat, and another night we just ordered pizza.

Hôtel très bien dans l'ensemble. La chambre est propre à l'arrivée, le personnel est très gentil. Le lieu est agréable (en face de l'église qui vous réveillera tous les jours a 7h00 mais on n'y peut rien 😅). Sont mis à notre disposition une place de parking, le wifi, du savon et la climatisation. Le frigo en revanche n'est pas fonctionnel. Les points négatifs pour moi sont l'insonorisation qui ne couvre pas les bruits extérieurs, le petit déjeuner qui ne change jamais et qui n'a pas beaucoup de choix (4) et pour finir, l'aspirateur est soit mal passé, soit pas passé du séjour (4 jours) en sachant qu'on revient souvent sale de nos visites. Je recommande quand même fortement pour le prix, la chambre est d'une grande qualité.

Bellissima struttura, elegante e raffinata. Massima cortesia dei proprietari e grande gentilezza. Lo scorcio verso la chiesa della città è molto suggestivo. Letto comodissimo e arredo veramente suggestivo. Consiglio la visita al Vesuvio e al percorso verde di Terzigno a poca distanza dall’hotel
